Biology What, biologically, is a cat?

If I outlive my dogs and my mom, I want to do some traveling first and then buy a condo and probably adopt 1-2 cats. And maybe a little dog to take out for walks.
Now, that's a wish.
Reality might leave me in a small project building mini apartment with no money to go anywhere. But then I will still want to have a cat.
