Just realised Dan's inspiration comes from Fanny Craddock, here's fine dish of hers...Swedish Bird's Nests, look more like Swedish Bird's Tits, but even the plate is from dan's collection....Dan, are your dishes actually plagiarised from Fanny Craddock?

For breakfast I had fresh pineapple, lunch chicken in garlic and pepper sauce with rice, for dinner sweet and sour pork with pineapple and rice. All fucking delicious!

just made a beauty of a psychedelic looking salad, DMT blast off on a plate. work of art. lettuce, heated cabbage, pickled onions, sweet pickle, piccalilli, tuna, red peppers, green peppers, yellow peppers, red cabbage, beet fucking root, coleslaw, sweet chili sauce. sadly no eggs. But a healthy masterpiece none the less. sadly i have no pics of it

knew beetroot was healthy but didnt realize how healthy, check this out

Wow, I too knew beetroot was healthy, but not how healthy...thanks for that link.

You got any space in a back garden Dan? Beetroot is very easy to grow, can have the first baby beets about 10 weeks after planting, plant a few seeeds every couple weeks and you'll have them all summer and into the autumn, nothin like a beetroot dug up and cooked and eaten same day, the deepest deepest colour you can imagine......Quite easy to grow so don't worry if you don't think you're much of a gardener...and don't takeup a lot of space either, and hardy to most weather conditions.

Chillis too, I know you love chillis like I do, even a smallish pot on a sunny windowsill, as long as you take care to keep it fed and watered will produce shitloads of chillis, get a whole pack of chilli seeds for a quid or so no prob. And then just save seeds from your best chillis for next year.

Come to the Gardening thread Dan! You're ready!

EDIT>>>> even my 6 year old boy is planting and tending and harvesting his own beetroot this year, it's his favourite veg, along with carrots, but we always do shit with carrots so not bothering this year...more room for beetroots... <3

1 and 2, fuck yeah, nice choices.

3, understandable

but celery?? In itself, yeah, a bit shit, but like you say soups stews and stocks, they fuckin need celery.

What do you think of fennel bogman? :)

My appetite is slowly returning these days which is good, clothes getting pretty loose! Just polished off a lemon fairy cake baked by one of my mum's friends %)

What do you think of fennel bogman? :)[/QUOTE]

only used it a few times with fish, being using the seeds in curries n chilli con carne last few months.

will have to try it more often.on a seperate note i picked up a pkt of black eye beans and mung beans but never used them before.

anybody here use them or similar.

fennel's ace with fish, didn't know if you'd like it as similar to celery, texture wise...

make beansprouts with yer mung beans, I've only ever bought them for sprouting, but suppose you could use them in one of your casseroles?

Same with black eyed beans, I just substitute them for any bean in a stew, doesn't really always matter what bean you use, i just grab couple of packets of some bean now and then, got a cupboard full of the feckers, always end up forgetting to soak them and using a tin instead :D

not tried fennel seeds in a chilli, put a few carraway seeds in me last one, so similar effect, only started experimenting with me chilli spice mixes cos of you and Spade bogman... =D (naturally I have more faith in your advice than his)

Just had a far too spicy pork, chilli and thai basil with rice dish for breakfast, too hot to eat it all. Followed by fresh pineapple.

Nah parents rent a double allotment, they grow some stuff over there. looks like at this rate im gonna end up eating most of it haha

salad for breakfast, salad and tuna for lunch, salad and vegetables for tea. inbetween meals ive been eating salad. up to my fucking nuts in salad. lost 5 pounds this week eating mainly salad and hardly ever feel hungry... sod the silly weird diets. much less hungry after cutting out sugar, guess the sugar crashes make me binge eat. too much sugar in fruit

Chicken green curry and rice for brekky today. Delicious but might not keep it down I'm so hungover.
