just had a nice curry for dinner, made a potato, mushroom and lentil curry served with rice and chips.
fried some cumin - fennell - cardamom seeds in a dry pan for 5mins, then added chopped onions and lower the heat and fry for 5mins.
next in is some turmeric and garam masala powder and cubed potatoes also frid for 5mins, then chopped garlic for 2mins.
after that about 150ml of chicken stock or water and tin of tomatoes or passata.
chuck in half a cup of lentils, i used red. bring to the boil then turn down and simmer.
add some mushrooms and cook till the potatoes are soft.
i also added a small spoon of honey.
