What Are You Drinking? V2. Frosty Jacks - For The Discerning Pisshead

They’re still going pretty strong afaik. Maybe cut back on the world domination stuff but still knock out new brews regularly.

Speaking of which, I iz currently drinking Brewdog Fruit Burst. Although I’d say it tastes more biscuity than fruity. Not one of their best but was on offer so had to give it a punt.

Asda “Extra Soecial” Puglian Primitivo. Very tasty - almost tastes like Port it’s so fruity. Kinda tastes almost sweet it’s so damn Porty… but not at all sweet.

Should go well with our late dinner of pumpkin ravioli inna smoky bacon and chicken sauce.

H2O. I don't really drink much, but if I rarely do it's preferably Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey.
Some of the best tasting alcohol I've had next to mead, but I got like an allergy to drinks or something; shit fucks up my sinuses hard. A low buzz is alright though, that's as far as I'll go anymore.

My boy got me a bottle of mead for Xmas last year. Not bad but a lot watery compared to meads I’ve tried previously. Much less oversweet though so swings and roundabouts really…

Currently drinking Hobgoblin Ruby cos it’s on clearance at the local Co-Op. Decent enough drop - delicious inna steak & ale stew.

I've got a 25L fermentation bucket of mead I made with local honey next to my feet right now, it needs bottling really. It would 100% have been cheaper buying actual mead already made because the price of the local honey was astronomical.

As it goes. Honey is more valuable in it's raw form than making mead or liquor.
It's only money and it's something I've ticked off my bucket list. I've made all sorts of beer, lagers, bitter, wine, spirits (as @F.U.B.A.R. knows all about, to his partners disdain) so why not mead.

I'm sure I'll give it a taste in a few years once it's had time to mature.

yeah, making your own is better than getting something from the store. It's just that the store stuff has drinkability moreso. Making liquor from molasses, honey, agave syrup, malt extracts and stuff. seems interesting however.

I just used honey, water and a mead yeast, you don't need anything else. It was left to clear on it's own and all the yeast dropped out months ago. No need for finings.
