In the past few months ive used a lot of meth and after having a pretty traumatic event happen in my life I just lost it and put myself through a lot of wreckless shit and due to all this(I wont go into it, it involves unsafe sex with multiple men and unsafe injecting practises) Im waiting on the diagnosis of HIV and HepC to both come back positive.

Im freaking out but trying to keep it contained until I know for sure that ive contracted one or both of these viruses. What are the options for me if I do come back positive and am I destined to a slow, painful death? I know a lot about both viruses seperately being a gay man and IV drug user, but I dont know much about co-infection. I do know in some parts of America up to 1/4 of people living with HIV also have HepC but im Australian and HIV is much less common in IV users and is mostly a gay disease here except for the people who caught these viruses from blood products or bad tattoo/piercing practises.

So yeh im pretty scared but pretty sure im going to come back positive for both. I just hope im not destined to a slow, painful death. Im 23 and pretty healthy, is interferon a possibility for someone with HIV?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)
