This post is probably rather self explanatory, but as we all know, most drugs (namely psychedelics) are catalysts for interesting thought patterns and brain-boggling realizations. They (most of the time) cause the mind to cough up some very interesting theories/observations/whatever you want to call it. Anybody have anything interesting to share?
I'll start: One i had a few months back (on 25-i) was when I started to notice how survival instincts have evolved within some subcultures. I noticed that much of the cast of the Jersey Shore (and any culture that is anything similar) initially attract mates through visual display (tanning, muscles, hair gel, skin-tight ed hardy shirts). It reminded me of how peacocks attract mates, with their flashy vibrant tail. It seemed to me that it was not a coincidence, and it had made selecting a mate and passing on genes much easier for any member of that subculture.
Another one that i had about a year ago (on Lsd) was that trees are nothing but massive, solid circulatory systems. Look at a diagram of a circulatory systems, and then look at a maple tree that has lost all of its leaves. It felt rather odd to be standing in a forest with my friends, surrounded on every side by massive amounts of grey veins and arteries.
Your turn!
