What are the chances of my girlfriend being pregnant?

Ok, I've looked into several websites and they all have mixed answers and honestly just scare me a bit much. I wanted to post on a forum that looked active and had a good community behind it. In all honesty I haven't browsed around a whole lot, and if this isnt the forum for me, I can take down the post just as well. If I am really this dumb, I would love to be directed towards a forum where I could share this. We are both 16 by the way.

Here is what has been causing me severe stress for the last couple weeks. So me and my girlfriend had completely protected sex once last month with the spermicide condom. In another instant I put it in (there wasnt any precum present) for around 2 seconds and pulled out without a condom. This was soon after her period ended around the 29th of June. On the 15th of July, her period started. She was surprised and scared to have her period show up one week early. She had been very stressed before and, like I said she's 16, so we just figured it was normal. Soon after we had completely protected sex again with the spermicide condom (around the 23rd) around 5 days later she noticed some brown spotting and this freaked me out. She just kinda said it was old blood, and blew it off. I looked into things like implantation bleeding, and freaked myself out.

So I have been getting around 4 hours of sleep a night, and I'm uneasy all the time due to the stress. Before you tell me to just have her take a pregnancy test and be done with it, it's really not that easy for us to get ahold of one, and I'm not sure if I could deal with the concluding stress of her taking the test. Here is what I'm here for, what are the chances of her being pregnant? I always pulled out even with the condom on, and it never broke. I hardly thought having completely protected sex twice would have very high chances of her becoming pregnant, but the little symptom is enough to make me hella stressed. She has had 0 other symptoms.

Thank you so much for your time, I feel terrible venting over the internet. I'm just hoping to put my mind at ease a bit, but I'll listen to anything.

This is probably not wha you want to hear, bu the plain facts are, there is not much anyone can say on here, unless she has a test done.
In my opinion, he chance of her being pregnant is low, if thins are like you say, given the oestrus cycle times of intercourse, and that you used protection.
The danger that she may be in however, is that she may have some other condition completely unrelated to sexual activity that remains untreated if she doesn't see a doc.
Surely you can buy a test kit either from a pharmacy or even online?
I do not know what the laws are in whichever part of the world you are in about age of consent, but I understand that this may be of concern to you.
She is young, maybe her periods are not that regular yet? However, the brown discharge combined with early period, may be some early indication that things are not quite right...
My advice, for what its worth, get one of those pee screening tests that Ulma Thurman uses on Kill Bill, to ease tour mind before sending her off to the quack.

All the best

Don't be silly wrap your willy.

Before getting funky wrap your monkey.

Before doing anything like that again just remember that you could severely affect a lot of lives by bringing another into the world just for the sake of a bit more pleasure.

Not judging, I know you're stressing but as you said she is 16 but there is nothing that we can do apart from you treat her like a queen and you escort her in a flying damn limousine down to the doctor and you WILL hold her hand all through this testing while you're at the doctor.

Go to the doctor.

Go to the doctor.

Go to the doctor.

Treat her well and never put yourself in this situation again unless you're in a committed relationship and want to have children you know that you can support.

EDIT: The reason for my harshness is that you are stressing? ask yourself how is she feeling.

She could be pregnant but if you are worried about it go to a drug store and get a home pregnancy test kit. They will sell them to you or her. She should see a doctor about the discharge though.

It seems that I worded things a bit weirdly. The Brown spotting was very light and was only for two days. There was no blood in it either, which somewhat rules out implantation bleeding. The spotting is also pretty common if its brown like that for it just to be old blood.

This is what I've read online so far. Should the early period be concerning? She was stressed and young, so I figured it'd be relatively common. The coincidence of all of this is really what has been throwing me through a loop, seeing how we JUST started having sex. We used spermicide condoms AND I pulled out, I figured the chances would be extremely low.

We are young, and don't want her parents to know anything unless we know it could be serious. Going to the doctor would be pretty difficult, but I can definitely man up and go buy a pregnancy test if need be.

Ok, several things...

First of all, the chances of her being pregnant are extremely low.

At 16, hormones are still flying around. What she is experiencing in her cycle is actually pretty normal for her age.

However, anytime you penetrate her without protection, you are putting yourself at risk for pregnancy. You say that there was no pre cum, but how do you know? Pre cum has a very high sperm count. You can definitely get pregnant by doing this.

Like other posters said, there is no way for us to tell you if she is or not. However, the chances are very much in your favor that she is not. I am not sure where you live, but most dollar stores sell pregnancy tests for $1.00. You are not doing either of you any good by stressing out about it.

In fact, stress causes things like irregular periods...

We had already been fooling around for a good while, and we'd seen the precum way before I put it in, and ehh, cleaned it up. Don't wanna go too far into that subject.

Nevertheless, I'd still figure the chances are very low. She has had no other symptoms at all, and hell, you hear about the people who don't use condoms and don't get pregnant quite a bit, so I'd figured my 2 seconds of chance were low (seeing how I didn't hardly go all the way in either)

No, it really IS that easy to get ahold of one. You can buy them at the Dollar Store and they are just as reliable as the $15-25 ones they sell at pharmacies.
AND if you can't afford the dollar or the "shame" of buying one, then have her go to planned parenthood and get tested for free.

You said you couldn't deal with the concluding stress of her taking the test. WHAT? Seriously. That sounds fucking stupid. It's time to man up and deal with it.

If you are going to continue to have sex, than she should just go to planned parenthood and get put on birth control.
If you are going to do adult deeds, it time to act like an adult as well.

Understood, mostly. No, we don't plan on having sex anymore. I can't drive, so it'll be sometime within the week, not today, but I'll get the test.

Thanks everyone in this thread, I feel a lot better and have made my decisions.

In general, sperm is present in pre-ejaculatory fluid only in low amounts. However, it presents a significant risk for the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases:

It is hilariously unlikely, based on what we've been told, that OP's girlfriend is pregnant. I imagine this would make him among the most fertile men in human history. Still, it is a very good idea to use protection, since at 16 most people have not undergone standard screening for sexually transmitted diseases, which may be congenital.

extremely, extremely low chance of being pregnant. Unbelievably low.

She should go on birth control and you should wear condoms. Then you are like 99.99999% safe.

Wow, thanks, atara...I was mistaken. I read that somewhere, turns out my info was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up, I would hate to give out incorrect information.

OP, it sounds like you are doing the right thing. Keep us posted on how the test turns out!

You guys are great :D

I live in an extremely small town with only a cvs and I can't drive (she lives out of town) so it may be a couple days, but I'll let you know xD.

I have to say I feel a lot better.

There is a chance she is pregnant. Low, but the chance is there.
You can order pregnancy tests online as well.

Add: Go to the CVS ......

One thing I'd like to add, at 16 I got the weirdest periods don't freak out too hard. Truth is sometimes your vag will just up and bleed during your teen years, sometimes you will get brown residue in the underwear, hormones at that age are just fucked. So try to calm down, you guys sound like you had a massive scare, again unless you are both fertility Gods extremely low chance of pregnancy.

This. Brown spotting really isn't all that uncommon and considering the chances she's pregnant are pretty low, I wouldn't immediately assume the worst. Of course she can be pregnant, there's always a chance whenever you have sex, but it's really not the most likely outcome here.
I did have a similar scare once though...had that symptom a few days after having sex without a condom, I was on BC but had been sick lately so not sure if all the pills had been digested...spent a good 3 weeks obsessing over it and thinking my life was ruined, took a pregnancy test and learned I'd turned half my hair grey for no reason. The point of the story being, try not to freak out unless you have a confirmed reason to :)

I'd say like .0001% chance.. when your 16 your cycle acts all fucked up, cause Its just starting and beginning to become consistant, explaining period one week early. The old blood is also common sometimes in girls, she acted like it was nothing because shes probably used to it. Implantation bleeding isn't normally brown.. its fresh blood. Also, don't use this as a form of birth control by any means, but typically theres only a couple days a month where a girl can even get pregnant, there different for each girl but usually fall about halfway through cycle, neither directly before or immidiately after her period, but this isn't fool proof just extremely unlikely. I'm not psychic though, just interpreting what your saying. The only way to know 100% is to take a test. They sell them at your local walmart, and its not like you have to show ID to get one.

On a different note, you mentioned it was 100% protected.. until your ready to discuss your concerns and questions with your partner, and are ready to understand that any time you have sex you take those risks, and aren't losing sleep over the possibility after "100% protected sex" your not readdy to have sex.

this!

get tested- some people are way more fertile than others e.g. high sperm count/strong swimmers/perfect vagina for conception
