What about the other 98 jillion (unscheduled benzos, besides phenazepam)?

Ok, as a nuke says we have some vendors who did introduce phenazepam to the market because he had some kind of understanding of what consequences may have selling trizolobenzodiazepines(for example). Phenazepam is really not fun drug - it can only be used for the purposes it was done - for tranquilising.

I dont buy this argument.
The whole idea that phenazepam is the only benzo being offered because its long duration make it "not abusable", doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

The fact is that lots of people are buying this stuff and are using it, and its extremely high potency and long duration make it even MORE of a liability then other benzos in my estimation.
Granted, if it is not terribly recreational then there might be a lower incidence of addiction/dependence to this stuff, but I think the real danger is with people being too heavy handed with their dosing and experiencing days of "blackout", along with all the trouble that usually comes along with this length and degree of benzo-related amnesia.

With this in mind, phenazepam is hardly a benign drug that vendors can sell without the concern of negative consequences arising. They are selling bulk powder of an extremely amnesic, long lasting drug that is active at the mg level. I just dont see how anyone can argue that this drug is less liable to cause problems then others. Sure, since it may not be as "fun" as other benzos, there might be a lower incidence of this particular benzo leading to addiction, but I really don't think addiction is the main concern when it comes to vendors offering drugs like this. -DG

^I agree. I think it's just because it is established already as a known benzo that would be useful to people in the USA (maybe other countries)... I think if the suggestion was made for another unscheduled benzo that would pretty much for sure be a success, it would be obtainable...

This sulazepam has me intrigued...

OK. Now think - if these vendors will supply alprazolam, for example. What will we see ? I will tell you - we will see reports about "tough guys" eyeballing it, getting violent, amnesiac but euphoric for 4 hours, then again until they run out supply - and what? Addiction, irresponsible behavior.
With phenazepam it is not so easy - it is not euphoric at all - it is quite dysphoryc, Russian psychiatrist even says that it is used as a neuroleptic(mostly IV) for alcoholic patients who get delirious, and it is making this job done - making them tranquilised.
And ininsist on that fact - that you can buy it very cheap and without big difficulties you can have with other scheduled benzos. Here in Russia you can buy it without prescription - if you will beg pharmacyst. These mean that is "schedule B" in our terms - these means it must be "stored and dosed with accuracy because of possible implications" but there is no strict control for amount of phenazepam pharmacy can sell, it is only up to pharmacysts to check your script - but he must not report about it. Then with other benzos situation is different, it is strictly controlled. I myself have a script for phenazepam which is out of date ( 3 month ago) - and i can buy it without difficulties. I sugggest that initial stock of phenazepam was bought from russian factories.

^What you describe happening with alprazolam has already happened tons of times with phenazepam. Check out the trip reports section...

That and pure alprazolam powder has been on the market for a long time if you know where to look.
