Hello everyone, I am new here. I have been reading a lot of threads here though over the last 6 weeks. I had a drug addiction but have been clean for 3 yrs. However, it was on Lyrica and Tramadol for severe Fibromyalgia. I recently decided to stop taking all pain meds. I didn't realize the absolutely horrible withdrawals these two drugs can produce.
Any way, I was reading about Kratom helping with withdrawals. So, I started taking it at like 5g twice a day. I didn't want to get a dependence to it so after 2 weeks I started switching to PST for 2or 3 days ( I had never heard of it but read about it also) then go back to the Kratom for 3 or 4 days. I thought this would help stave off withdrawals from the Kratom. I did this for 4 weeks now. Well, I decided to stop using both and deal with any pain I had from the Fibro (which is very similar to withdrawal so it's confusing knowing which it's feeling, which is why it stayed using the Kratom for so long).
Well, after a full day I was in totally in withdrawal. So, do you think I was withdrawing from the Kratom or the PST. Oh, I used around 8 oz. of poppy seeds for the tea so it was a small amount. A few times I used a little more. I would normally wash those same seeds twice in a day. I can't see the withdrawals being from the PST but I am not sure.
I wanted to know if it can use the PST for 3 or 4 days if the withdrawal is probably from the kratom to get through the first and worst few days.
If the PST is a bad idea what would a good plan for the withdrawals be for me? I am going through a naturopathic treatment for the the Fibro which is why I stopped the meds so I can't handle the pain of the Fibro and withdrawals together.
Oh, also I have been off the tramadol for over 6 weeks. So, I am pretty sure that withdrawal is over from those. However would it be ok if I used a little of one these or both to get through the first few days? That won't cause my dependence to come back for those will it? Like maybe if I used tramadol one day and lyrica the next. I would only take on in the evening before bed if possible to sleep.
Thank you. I will be very grateful!
