i've never used weed as a painkiller probably because i felt no relief. Anyone wanna share there expeirences?
=D

so i was right it does fuck all for pain except dope you up. hey ive no pain isssues thats why i smoke to get high

it goes either way. diagnosed with migraines awhile back and i've noticed that smoking can sometimes intensify the pain, but vaporizing kills the headache.

or you make a concentrate. good hash/hash oil will easily fix everything....a j of some sour dipped in hash oil helped my friend feel better after a concussion from a car crash.

Cannabis provides immediate relief to many chronic pain ailments.

For me, specifically I use it for:
-reoccurring pain in both knees
-reoccurring pain from broken/unset foot
-arthritis
-nausea
-migraines

The list goes on and on, but ^ this is only what I use it for. Try using google for questions like these; at least before you come to a conclusion about it.

Saying things like, "so i was right it does fuck all for pain except dope you up.", only shows that you have not done any research and you aren't sympathetic towards people's pain management.

personaly, i find weed helps ease more consistent types of pain, like nausia, headaches and the like. in terms of acute pain, like a stubbed toe, iv never experience it to be killed. regardless of the most savage rip on a bong i could do.

I have chronic back pain and I don't really get much relief from cannabis....It just makes my attitude towards the pain better and, therefore, I don't seem to mind it as much...

For everyday problems such as headaches and stomach aches cannabis helps greatly. For other problems such as muscle aches I find it hit and miss, it works sometimes then others it doesn't although I have no serious long-term injury.

also, indica strains have more of a painkilling effect
this is true. indica strains usually contain a higher CBD/THC ratio. CBD and CBN have been shown to dramatically reduce inflammatory pain/chronic pain.

i recently have been able to try extractions with almost no THC and high levels of CBD and CBN. i didn't get high at all (no head high or stoned thoughts), but all my inflammatory pains disappeared and I also fell asleep rather quickly.

Any indica heavy strain will provide decent relief for some people, it's rather subjective as to what level of pain management it can provide.

Cannabis has always helped with my TMD/TMJ and locked jaw, along with headaches and neck pain associated with it... helps even more when I'm on my script of vicodin.

I'm not saying it doesn't possess mild painkiliing properties, and i'm very sypathetic to people suffering pain. But it depends on what type of pain where talking about. As others have stated it help minor ailmets, migraines etc but it wouldn't be any good for very severe pain i.e cancer

it works quite well but you will be too stoned to function otherwise...

the point of pain management is not being innebriated and off your guts. its exactly what it says, management. it's not sustainable to be high all day everyday as you're only doing yourself harm in the end; high dose addiction and dependency. you have to suffer some pain.

a few small tokes on a good indica strain will take my mind off the pain and helps ease neck tension and eases the spasms that occur in my lumbar and lower rib region and pains from my spondylolisis. it helps with the sharp shooting pains of sciata too.

regular exercise is a key part to pain management as well.

i have no tolerance because i dont smoke weed but once in a blue moon, but when i was detoxing and feeling masssssiiiiive pains i smoked a bowl of sensi bud and pain was gone for an hour, its relief i will never forget.

/respect to the sacred herb

I've neve used weed medicanally - and after reading this thread I feel like such an asshole. If it wasn't for people lik me using it to just get high then maybe it'd be more readily available for peoples pain releif.

& it does help with nausea, until you smoke too much. ime anyway

I smoke weed when I get headaches usually and it helps a lot. Although on the other hand if I smoke TOO much weed I get a weed headache, and when I got a weed headache smoking just makes it worse.

I usually buy some very cheap bud, "regs" for most, it helps for when ever I get stomach sick
