Now it’s like you have to really search for the truth, I remember a time when you could type into google or whatever was before google and most of the time the internet just provided you with stuff you can trust, now the internet is so commercialized it’s like you can’t even trust the stuff you get from a search to not essentially be paid advertisements of the news/science variety

Agree. It just makes the truth more valuable and worth seeking. As more folx wake up I think it will change the landscape of things. I find some of our greatest tools are ridicule and satire. When people get serious they will read the rules for radicals, and implement them as effectively as the current US establishment has been for many years.

i'm not asking you to write a phd with extensive footnotes and exhaustively researched references. you make a claim i'm simply asking you to substantiate it. to support the idea that it's, you know, true. substantiate it with anything.
if you are so vehemently unwilling or unable to do that, it says so much about the veracity of what you're saying.
you know, the amazing - and not a little utterly fucking sad - irony here is that, in asking you to substantiate a claim i'm inviting you to help me better understand where you're coming from. maybe, in a tiny, tiny way, in a tiny, tiny corner of the universe, find a little common ground or get closer together on an issue where, at first, we're at polar opposites. help me to understand how you and i can look at an issue and see two totally different things.
you may say i am stupid but i don't think you're stupid. i respect that you've arrived at your position by your own route. why you wouldn't vigorously embrace the opportunity to teach somebody that what you believe to be correct really is correct, is baffling to me. but i guess that's on stupid me, right?

my understanding is that a study by the fda of vaccine effects on older americans identified some elevated risks and that was incorrectly (and, surely, deliberately) mischaracterized in an instagram post as "So the FDA finally came out and said that Pfizer’s Covid shot causes blood clots? Only 2 years late!"
it's already been debunked (but you can double-check and do that yourself by reading the study) but that hasn't stopped the original, incorrect, instagram post being parroted online by many people who never gave its veracity a second thought.
aside, and also not a little ironic, that the fda is an evil government organization which can not, under any circumstances, be trusted. what's that? now they agree with me? oh, they can be trusted.
