If the NATO countries had wanted an alliance with Russia/Putin they could have all signed papers but it would have fallen apart by now.
I think Putin would have benefitted from access to intelligence and been less willing to share his own intelligence, it wouldn't have stopped this conflict.
This is not a NATO matter, but I agree it was alarming to Russia how many of it's neighbours joined. Don't you agree that they did it because they were scared of Russia doing just what they are now doing to Ukraine?
That's a quite casual "natural cause" you describe, only issue is that it's entirely fictional.
If the US had accepted Russia as their possible allies, no..we would probably not be in this situation.
Putin as I said used to have a huge admiration for the US, and would have joined NATO, warts and all.
Instead they ridiculed Russia for over 30 years, plotted to destroy the USSR by discovering and funding a power-hungry man, i.e Yeltsin.
The USA is so
fucking good at coups it's scary shit.
If the countries were scared of Russia, they wouldn't have joined NATO. It's actually that they
weren't scared of Russia.
Also joining NATO isn't just from one day to the next, so until joining NATO Russia would still have some weird old Soviet contracts to hold over them, only allowed to be socialist states etc, The Lenin Agreement. Why didn't Russia do the same with Poland?
For the record: Why did Russia let Germany reunite
without a single shot fired? Maybe they aren't the evil fucks your media tells you they are, just a thought..
Germany has a lot to be thankful for towards Russia, and we have a lot we feel very sorry for, like betraying them not once, but twice on a big fucking scale(World Wars) - they used to be our brothers, Prussia and Russia, we betrayed them so hard ._: I mean we fucked them over, they forgave us, and then we fucked them over again, Jesus
Russia turned a blind eye to obvious NATO provocations 5 times, by watching its neighbours join NATO,
the organisation that indirectly told him "You are our enemy, fucker" without even knowing him or what he would do..
If he had ignored them 6 times nobody would take him seriously. Especially ignoring it when the country is so fucking vital to Russia. They have the easiest way
into Russia, one that is practically undefendable, all the oil stuff aside, just from a location standpoint. His country was becoming a laughing stock, now he does have the respect he wanted.
Right now he might be the most feared person on the planet.
Srsly on a certain level Putin just wants to be globally respected, and not seen as some joke of a so-called "third world country"
Only in America can the government plunder the world for 80+ years,
bombing civilians, taking the treasures and resources, installing a "democratic" puppet,
but once another country leads one war their people shout "EVIL EVIL EVIL!"
fucking hypocrites
