Okay. If it was your decision, I (personally) think you should treat it as such.
If I don't agree with the political machinations of the CCP, I shouldn't feel inclined (in a free country) to applaud the efforts of their foot soldiers.
Likewise, I feel no obligation to approve of my brother if he happens to work for an allied armed forces.
When I was a teenager, I told my grandfather - who served in WW2 - that I wouldn't know who to shoot in a war. I said: people are just people.
My grandfather loved me. I was the last one he recognized before he died.
What seems obvious, isn't.
