Warning about ordering testers in Australia

Maybe this is common knowledge, but I've certainly never seen it mentioned anywhere before. I ordered an eztest xtreme from eztest.com a little over three weeks ago and a few days ago received notification from customs that they had intercepted it and would be keeping it. The reason is that the Marquis reagent contains sulfuric acid and it is illegal to send corrosive materials through the post. In the US and Europe there are small quantities exceptions, but not so in Australia.
Not happy Jan.

It certainly wasn't common knowledge to me. Thanx for the info! Do not despair though coz I have two words for you, Korruption + Rundle Mall!

Open Wide...
Cum Inside..
Its Seed Sowing time ..
Alrighty kids.. come get your Darwinening seeds from Disco Diablo ..
Its full of precise knowledge like how to get fucked up really fast ..
Just remember, if it says "PANADOL" on it .. to buy 100's and 1000's of them. . they are the real good shit man *winks*
</sarcasm>

Ahhhh come on dude .. . i want the real stuff hey .. i wanna make more babies with it ... *grins evilly*
Disco boy .. you know man .. your seeds of joy would go so well with my Anal Baby hey .. then again i dropped him on his head. Maybe the same happened to you.
Oh and about the pill tester... Limited quantities are allowed. Depends on how many you order. If you order 1, its allowed. More though and it becomes a problem.
Lovingly yours always.

^^^... um, no.
it really depends if customs decides to check your particular package. mine came thru without a problem... tho it was a couple of months ago now.
BTW... W, this isnt the A*list... it gets boring when all the threads get turned into flames/off topic rambling shit.

DONT FEED THE TROLLS. you should all know better...
back on topic: Either Australian Cuustoms have recently changed their rules, or they are more rigourously enforcing previously existing rules. Either way we, both me and EZ Test, are doing our very best to solve this problem.
More details are here.
As it says in that thread I am waiting for the senior person at the Melbourne Mail Centre to get back from holidays before I can do much else. Stay tuned.

after ordering my extreme about 6 months ago, and numerous emails back and forth, my extreme finally arrived about 3 weeks ago... it didn't have the opened and inspected by Aus Customs sticker on it so i can assume that it wasn't, and therefore it got through ok.
maybe i was just lucky, but i haven't had any problem with ordering any other EZ-Test materials before...

It sounds like a bit of a sham... how do bigger retailers import large shipments of testers from overseas to re-sell???
Methinks some of those custom guys have thrown some tabs crossing the border into the back pocket and are currently testing for their personal use. Don't be surprised if you find it in the mail a few weeks later, seal broken and a few drops short.

when sent it bulk it has always had to be sent special mail, with all the correct labelling etc. it is just that before now it was possible to send individual kits to australia without this extra packaging/cost.

Any toxic, corrosive or flammable substances need to be marked as such and have Hazchem codes, Hazchem page number, treatment directions and clean up materials listed on the packaging to be legally able to travel into or within Australia. I work for a wholesaler of various products, some of which are toxic, corrosive, flammable or a combination of the three, and this law is commonly broken. Generally if common sense says there's no risk, no-one cares. Eg with a teensy bottle of sulphuric acid concentrate, peoples at my work wouldn't even think of going through the effort and added cost of properly labelling and declaring it.
However because you're a drug user (as opposed to a hospital laboratory in my case) you're baaad, and therefore must be discriminated against :)
Or they could just be enforcing the law more strictly now.

airwalk: yes, it happens all the time, that's where the ones you can by from Central Station etc come from. Sure one of us could bring it in in bulk, but what then? how do I then get an individual set to someone in Perth? Trust me, I have been thinking about this...

i ordered mine nearly 2 years ago and its about time to get me another. mine came very quickly and there wasnt a problem.
i was going to suggest buying one from somewhere like Central Station records. i will definately buy mine over the counter rather than through the mail i dont want to risk losing money, or waiting a long time.
the website i ordered mine from came from within australia if i remember correctly.. but i might not be. i emailed the guy and said id like one. he sent it to my post office and i paid on pickup.
arent customs etc far less of an issue if mail is interstate? mailing an ez tester interstate would be easier than international right? or am i just lost? :)
