Just started........so far getting into 1-3 Chapter pretty fun and the partner is interesting twist.

The camera seems a bit off however and the partner makes me mad when she goes full retard.
 
i loved re4 so i decided to pick this up. at first the controls feel really uncomfortable, but after a little while i got used to it. the graphics are great and the game itself is really fun when playing with a friend. w/o a friend its still fun but like pullstring says, the partner's AI can get really annoying.
 
Completed it with my friend over live really good fun :D the upgrades and unlockables mean I think I'll be playing this for a while yet.
 
can this game be played co-op locally or does it have to be online? Yesterday, we were trying to play it co-op on his PS3 but we couldn't figure it out.
 
Start a single player game and press the start button on the second controller. It looks awful though only takes up about 60% of the screen in 1080p, there might be a way to make it look better/use all of the screen but I haven't worked it out yet.
 
I'm playing on a 360. Graphically I think the game is amazing. I agree the AI of sheva can be a little wacky. Try and toggle her between attack and cover when she does stupid shit. I didn't know it could be done locally, ill definitely have to try that.

All in all I'm happy with the game. Regular RE upgrades, pretty good controls, and outstanding graphics make the game. The camera can suck but don't forget to use the quick turn around to help with that which is back and A button on Xbox. If you like RE 4 this is a must buy and all though I haven't finished it yet I'm planning on playing through more than once already.
 
I concur, its very much like the 4th just better. The level when you're gunning in the hummer, great times
 
Fuck ya, and some of the cutscenes are intense to boot.

The scene where they get surronded by the biker zombies.......GREAT!!
 
Ya I'm really enjoying the fuck out of this. Compared to other games out right now this is on a different level IMO.

Currently I'm playing fallout3, sf4, gears2, cod waw, fable2, ninja gaiden2 and RE5. Out of all those great games this is the one I crave. Ya I'm addicted to resident evil 5 its that fucking good. If you have a 360/ps3 and you don't have this game you factually aren't using your console and should donate it to someone that will.
 
Ok I can see that. I love the multiplayer but its the same thing as COD 4 but its WW2.
 
So I played through on normal a while ago. I unlocked the gatling gun with unlimited ammo which is as cool as it sounds.

Also there's a mercenaries gametype available. It looks like you can unlock other characters in that but I haven't played it much.

P S to unlock the gatling gun fully upgrade the Vgsomething sub machine gun. It should be the first one you get. After doing that and beating the game you can purchase the gatling gun.

The games great. There seems to be a lot more ammo in this one then others. Make sure you have a lot when you reach the last chapter because while fighting the end boss there's none available. I had to restart the chapter because of this, I literally ran out of bullets on the last guy.
