I have to say, whatever your views on televangelism or religion in general but the Getty Image photograph of JS crying is a powerful image. I cannot help wondering how fast memes will appear.

facts, but (just to piggyback) it is never an excuse (and ppl DO use the excuse, even if you're not doing that)... like i've watched scam- baiters, and one of the things scammers sometimes say is the whole "americans are dumb" as though that justifies it.

"stealing candy is no good... but babies be babies"

anyway, swaggart was an evil person and if hell exists (it doesn't), there'd be a special room set up for the likes of him... taking advantage of the vulnerable, manipulating old ppl into gathering their debt/ wasting their life savings, etc...

it's a very weak (weakness is a lack of integrity, for one) thing to do.

i'm poor because i don't have a cutthroat attitude... and it sucks, but at least i can say i'm not weak like that.
