Prose Unnecessary or inaccurate words you catch yourself overusing

Unnecessary or inaccurate words you catch yourself overusing

"Logistically" when I actually want to say "logically". When used in the sentence, "that makes sense Logistically.....oops, I meant logical....oh well you know what I am trying to say"---- literally 2 letters short and I can't think of the right word.

Feel like an idiot..... for a few seconds.

Then just laugh it off.

that happens to me alot lol --- "That is not a real version of that word nor was I trying to be clever"

The word " literally" as in I literally nearly died of fright when such and such happened
Well firstly you can't nearly die of fright, you're either dead or you're not. And literally almost died, literally. Basically is the other word that gets thrown about a lot.

Babygirl. X

Literally has been a problem for 30 yrs. "I was literally crucified in the courtroom today" Donald J Trump. (Nah that was light questioning --- very light -- "noone wants to send you to jail", what Id pay to have a judge say that to me)

"The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do."
—Thomas Jefferson

Through the years I have actively attempted to improve my verbal fluency and succinctness. I typically proof read everything I write, including the most casual banter, and try to make improvements.

The first three words that come to mind which I tend to overuse are the adverbs, "even", "just", and "like". I have mostly succeeded in minimizing the latter, but the first two annoyingly stick around.

Does anyone else analyze their informal speech?
I definitely am over-verbose many times but practice makes perfect

also I'm disappointed in ol' Tommy J

"The most valuable talent, not using two words when one will do"

from 17 words down to 12 and I bet we could go lower

"Brevity is the soul of wit" - I forget haha but same thing with 5

Seems contextual enough, a key to knowing someone doesn't REALLY grasp the concept they are talking about is the use of jargon and inability to communicate that idea clearly through metaphor or w/e in a way a normal person could retain. Of course there are some things is is not possible with but rule of thumb
