The liberals are just slightly less conservative capitalists. I'll quote something I recently wrote in another thread

The free market doesn't protect anything besides profits because as I mention in my previous comment, the capital owners control the media and the narrative along with lobbying groups writing laws
 
Good ideas don’t require force.
Lying cheating stealing wrong.
Peace commerce honest friendship right.
 
laws for justice. for an offense. Laws also exists where there is no victim.

Laws aren't necessary to dictate right and wrong.

Saying that public housing as a temporary fix to at least bring homeless in.
but grant the liberties to drink beers and smoke weed in a halfway house.
but understand private property is superior than public housing.
you don't want someone looking down your throat when you're running a household.

Capitalism can work, crony capitalism is just another form of slavery.

We had crony capitalism in the late 1800's. Company towns, company stores, people attempting to organize being mowed down by machine guns. Roosevelt, Teddy, a Republican had to eventually spearhead anti-trust laws to end large businesses controlling the economy to their advantage and the subjugation of the p̶e̶a̶s̶a̶n̶t̶s̶ common people.

It's obvious that totally unrestrained capitalism doesn't work. So, the only question is what guardrails we put where.

The point is to give them a roof and an address so they can at least start trying to get work, and housing first is effective
