Trump shot

TL;DR ☞ This is a response to the lengthy comment left by @Rainman1964. There was a lot to respond to, and I felt like addressing all of it. I'm tired of rewriting this and I've been trying to whittle it down, but after two revisions I'm just gonna post it. The gist of it is: unless you're familiar with Secret Service firsthand, chances are you have no idea how they actually work & function, and there are valid security reasons for this. There's not enough footage and piecing together the exact timeline of events isn't going to be easy for anyone to do when they're not working with all the data. None of us are privy to those details.

And finally, I can't believe how many ppl are not aware of what a graze wound is. Trump wasn't shot directly in the ear, and yes, that would've probably blown his ear off. He was grazed by as bullet that whizzed by his ear and ever so slightly brushed along the skin as it (mostly) missed hitting him. You can get grazed by a bullet anywhere along your frame; the main thing is that it just barely makes contact with the skin as it goes by. It was a very close call and, no bullshit, Trump got lucky. We don't like to believe in luck or 1-in-a-million shots, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. It happened. That 20-yr-old nearly murdered Donald Trump. That's what's fucking crazy.

Then you're not looking hard enough at all. There are a multitude of reasons people hate Trump. Him being a terrible and embarassing statesman among foreign diplomats and world leaders is only one factor. Some ppl hate him for the "grab women by the pussy" comments. Others hate him for being a xenophobic racist who likes to insist he's not. Then there's hating him for inciting the Jan 6th riots. There's hating him for polarizing our nation and being in the pocket of Vladimir Putin. There's hating him for obnoxiously insisting Obama was not a U.S. Citizen. There's hating him for mishandling COVID-19 and for taking a wrecking ball to the Republican party. There's hating him for the lack of aide given to Puerto Rico after they were slammed by a hurricane.

Mind you, I'm not saying I agree with any of these, nor am I saying I hate Trump. He's done some good along with some bad. I like the criminal reform bill in the federal system his administration introduced and had signed into law. I like his emphasis on border control, which absolutely needs to be addressed. But it's shortsighted to think he's only ever criticized for not being a polished diplomat and statesman. I do however think that his business acumen is questionable, but his mastery of social media is unparalleled by any major U.S. politician so far.

Really? I can't stand Hillary Clinton. She's insufferable and a sworn enemy of your boy, Trump.

Right, that's the problem with our system. People vote against the candidate they hate, not for one they like. And both sides fervently blames the other for it. The left and the right are equally stupid as fuck.

Weird logic. He reflects poorly on the nation that I am from, because he's lazy, sloppy, overweight, rude, and lacking in grace, manners, refinement, style, respect for women, and any sense of decorum, despite purportedly being a multi-billionaire. Idk if you ever travel abroad much, but Trump is not a very popular character internationally. Don't get me wrong: we all know Biden is too old, but he's not the laughing stock level of buffoon Donald Trump is on the international stage.

Conspiracy theorists and opinion piece pundits masquerading as journalists do not make someone enlightened. It's foolish to look down at "mainstream everyday citizens" based on this confusion.

The order of that is off. It went Reagan → Bush (elder) → Clinton → Bush (younger). You voted for Bill Clinton both times?

That was Bill Clinton, not Al Gore. What did Monica Lewinsky have to do with Al Gore? I suspect you're getting your facts mixed up with fiction, and Idk what you're on about. And you condemn Clinton whom you've mistaken as Al Gore, but you let Trump off the hook for having an affair and then lying about it. You see no problem here?

I thought you wanted Hillary Clinton to win?

Women are not trophies or prizes to be "got", just as a reminder. And success is no excuse to be an amoral classless asshole. Are you defending this behavior? And you're a woman? Also, I'm not a fan of his rhetoric in which he's talked about strategically bombing suspected Mexican cartel labs, without Mexico's consent, in order to disrupt the flow of fentanyl into the country. I'm worried about him removing term limits and attempting to establish a dictatorship he can try to pass down to his idiotic offspring…

Oh I know. One was found to be fraudulent, that Trump University scam.

Firstly, having no fear is not the same thing as courage, which is acting in spite of fear. Having no fear is foolish and dangerous and not something to praise. Secondly, it doesn't take balls so much as a multi-millionaire slumlord daddy to loan you your seed money. Nothing against that, but let's not act like he doesn't come from a place of extreme privilege and has never lived a life remotely close to what the majority of American lives are like. Not to knock it, no one chooses the family they're born into, and everyone has their own trials and tribulations. Every family is dysfunctional if you look closely enough. Let's just not defend criminal idiocy or pretend Trump is entirely self-made.

He is the eternal arrogance. Like I was saying: his daddy was rich before him, made his millions as a mid-century NYC slumlord. There's no questioning that Donald Trump's life is a successful one from virtual any perspective though. I've known about the man since I was like 4 or 5 yrs old and he was on WWF/WWE next to Vince McMahon. Later he was on The Apprentice with that same ridiculously bad hair saying "you're fired," like the stereotype of a pompous, prick son of the big boss, and everyone hates them both. He ran for president once before 2016 and was doing it again as a publicity stunt to help promote a book he had just published. The rest is history, and further underscores both the tremendous amount of luck he has had, and his ability to tap into a certain rebellious impulse in the American public against all odds.

🤮 Give me a break. Eric and Don Jr.? Lol. And yes, Hunter Biden is a criminal fuck-up, but if we're using that degenerate jackass as a standard, we're not aiming very high. I'm not endorsing Biden, and I don't like playing us-versus-them, tit-for-tat politics. WhoTF cares? Trump is not a defensible candidate for any political party. He's a divisive asshole elitist megalomaniac with a penchant for being accidentally entertaining. The lowbrow irreverence and tacky-ass persona with the bad hair job, washed-up porn-star hush money, Bible salesman side hustler, and overall stench of Atlantic City seediness with a dash of Florida racism appeals to Americans who resent what they see as the bleeding-heart, liberal, Jewish-run, Black-favoring Ivy League "elites" who run D.C. and Hollywood… This is stupid thinking, and moreover, unnecessary and inaccurate. Besides, don't get me started on Henry Kissinger, or for that matter, Paul Wolfowitz. It's not a good look stereotyping all Jews, Blacks, and any progressive leaning liberal with an expensive education. Elitism takes all forms, on the Left and the Right. Wake up and smell the proletariat oppression, my friend.

What are you talking about? How would Trump get impeached for questioning Biden's remarks on Ukraine and what is your source for this?

1. You're stereotyping everyone who is liberal when you do this. And you're also failing to delineate between fiscal liberalism/conservatism and social liberalism/conservatism. This is unfair, inaccurate, and lazy.
2. "Hate" seems so extreme right here, especially considering point #1 above. And like I was saying, the U.S. voting system makes it so we vote against the party we hate rather than for a party we love.

Most of them with little to no experience in Washington, just loyalists hoping for appointments and exploits. Opportunists and sycophants surround him once more.

All of Congress take advantage of their position and so do judges, are you joking right now thinking it's only on the left? Pelosi isn't even in politics any longer. She's an old, old woman, why is anyone even discussing her since she's retired? It's weird the fixations people get with certain politicians… The fascist bullshit is equally never ending.

What like Russian influence on Donald Trump? Saudi influence on both Bush Presidents? GOP pundits sure like to hurl stones considering how much of a glass House they have in Congress. Should we talk about George Santos? Or how about the corruption of Chief Justice Clarence Thomas, nvm all the other allegations?

I do. We need tighter, smarter border regulation that we enforce, like virtually every other developed nation does. For a long time, the U.S. has enjoyed a geopolitical landlock with an ocean on either side of her. But now times are different. Technology, in particular the mass proliferation of smart phones and the ubiquitousness of cellular connectivity, broadband internet speeds, and social media have created a situation where knowledge of grifts in the system is disseminated at unseen speeds now.

Under George W. Bush. You're not making any sense right now, and this has nothing to do with the current immigration crisis.

You've traipsed into 9-11 conspiracy theories now; it is not helping you make a clear point, especially when you keep citing "corruptness" that occurred during a Republican Presidency that was barely won on the strength of a recount in a state where the Republican nominee, George W. Bush's own brother, Jeb Bush, happened to be the Governor of the state. The Patriot Act and the way 9-11 was used to get public approval to invade Afghanistan and Iraq which ultimately destabilized the middle east and directly lead to the formation of ISIS. W., Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz can be blamed for that FUBAR'd calamity.

I'm sure they keep an eye on him, but he uncovered the crimes of an enemy state of the Kremlin at great personal risk. The enemy of one's enemy is one's friend, as they say. So, yeah, it's not surprising they granted him asylum. None of this is any kind of proof he was a Russian spy, but that's the conspiracy theorists' favorite angle, without any proof, just a cocksure overconfidence that they perfectly understand the nuances and intricacies of foreign diplomacy, despite lacking knowledge and experience on the subject. It's unreal.

That doesn't make any sense. No one asked to be born; no one is here on purpose. We want to attach meaning to things, because finding meaning in life feels important and satisfying, but the Illuminati are an illusion of our own design. Life meaning is whatever we want to make of it. I'm not going to blame a phantom nemesis for the fact that finding meaning in life is often vexing, at times an exercise in futility, but worth the pursuit nonetheless. There's a thrill of pursuing happiness and attempting to help those around us while we figure out how to prevent our innate instincts for rage, vengeance, war, wrath, and us-versus-them thinking from taking over and destroying ourselves. It's imperative that we understand Liberals and Conservatives are both trying to make the world a better place for humans to live in, and sometimes they fuck up along the way. We are flawed and prone to making mistakes, but we're also capable of great redemption and the strongest form of love possible: forgiveness.

I agree with all of this.

Umm, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas are not people of Integrity and neither is Donald Trump who still won't admit publicly to having had an affair with a porn star and then trying to pay hush money to cover it up with campaign finances through a proxy he later kicked under the federal indictment bus (Michael Cohen).

No it isn't. Which amendment in the constitution is it breaking?

The court sets precedents though, because our judicial system is based on two things: 1. the U.S. Constitution including the Bill of Rights and all subsequent amendments and laws, and 2. case law which interprets the aforementioned Bills and amendments with the higher courts superseding the lower courts' rulings/findings, the Supreme Court being the highest. These are the strategic moves of a far-right, religious lobby who seek to roll back civil right's advances, many of which impact women's rights and urban communities. I consider religious fundamentalism to be a dangerous thing, particularly when coupled with fervent nationalism, propaganda-fueled revenge-lust and heaping helpings of numerous confirmation biases.

What's your logic there? Healthcare is federal, and it's dangerous and stupid to have a patchwork of laws that changes from state to state depending on how conservative and religious the elected legislature is..

Why not? This is a matter of public health and safety, which is typically been the domain of the federal gov. like every other country in the world. Government exists to serve the people. It's in the best interests of both to have the healthiest citizens it can who share a good, common sense of morale, and who are, moreover, well educated. It benefits all of us to be healthy and educated, which is why support for better public education is very crucial, and it's gonna take some tax dollars, but healthcare and education are two good programs worthy of public investment and not left to the profit-incentive.

And yet you support Donald "I grab women by the pussy" Trump who illegally uses campaign funds to pay for sex? Or more accurately, he paid hush money to a sex worker to be quiet about his marital infidelity with her, and this is your candidate? What were you saying about Bill Clinton earlier and lying about Monica Lewinsky? Yet you're okay with Donald Trump's sexual infidelities and refusal still to admit to them… And do we even need to mention the heartlessly sociopathic way he paid this hush money with campaign funds through his bozo attorney lackey, Michael Cohen, who is subsequently disbarred and sent to federal prison for the crime. This is your guy though, huh?

That's not accurate. Can you name a female author prior to the 1800s, for example? And how many can we name from the 1800s and the first half of the 1900s? Not too many. Is it a coincidence that women's lib hit at the same time medicinal birth control became widely available?

Did you know Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had a sister who was equally as gifted a musician? Leopold used to take them around Europe together to have them perform for the entertainment of royalty such was their precocious talent. But few people have heard of Kate Mozart because: female. #wompwomp "Make babies, wench, how dare you have ambitions of your own? Shun your natural instincts!" Women still face oppression globally, not to mention discrimination, objectification, and all the bullshit that people like Trump have saddled women with their whole lives. And women still support him. It's mind-blowing.

Oh yeah right, like Trump had zero allies. GTFO of here with that bullshit sob story, like he was some underdog that people disliked for no reason, nothing to do with his politics, shitty foreign diplomacy and vague racism hidden behind dogwhistles like "MAGA". We managed to let him fly on autopilot while we all nervously laughed at how ridiculous sounding he was each day in office. The stock market did well as many of us rode the bubble's rising tides, knowing he would be friendly tax breaks for business owners, but what goes up must come down, and things really tanked with COVID-19 while Trump's lack of experience and public office leadership became evident. And the people, true to form, voted against Trump in 2020, even though the other candidate was not a strong choice.

The rambling of the obfuscatory is flagrant.

WTF are you talking about? Your guy is a convicted felon, Bible salesman, who has been sued for millions of dollars in a libel case and sued for the con artistry that was Trump University… He has zero loyalty and will kick anyone under the bus to save himself, like look at how many people around him wound up in federal prison and/or under investigation. And then there's that creepy ass son-in-law he has, Jared Kushner, that hovers around him like a weird, power hungry crypt-keeper who secretly idolizes Heinrich Himmler and Joseph Goebbels.

If you're not going to base your theories on serious, provable, evidence-based facts and always believe whatever conspiracy theories most conveniently fit your political opinions, then what's the point of discussing any of this?

It's amazing how you can see things that way, bending the truth and omitting critical and damning details while you defend the misogynist behavior and polarizing negativity of Donald Trump, a man who turned against his own Vice President and shows no capacity to be humble. Also, judges aren't the ones pressing charges; it's prosecutors. You need to understand the system a little better before slinging these arguments around like this. I doubt many people are reading this, so it's probably just you and me right now, so to speak, and I'm urging you to please reconsider your endorsement, and rethink this indictment of a supposed system that just has it out for Trump. He's blatantly breaking laws and abusing his power through judicial appointments who are ruling in his favor and against the better interests of the public due to political quid pro quo. His judicial appointments are the ones under fire for conflict of interest. Prosecutorial discretion is a matter of ethics, and I too suspect the political motivations for strategic criminal charging and scheduling of court dates to disrupt campaign efforts is shitty politics, and though it's not justification, I'll just remind you that Trump plays equally dirty. Both sides wish they could rig elections, but it's just not that easy.

Yeah and there were Jews who voted for Hitler claiming they thought his antisemitic talk was just rhetoric to stir the people up. Whoops. Not that I'm comparing Trump to Hitler, but you know how you can't even joke about killing the president or taking a bomb on a plane, things like that? Yeah I don't think I like hearing a president or presidential nominee to engage in the reverse form of not-funny humor.

A trait everyone wants in their elected leader…

Wow, you are in love w/some Donald J. Trump and you have lapped up the Kool-Aid and can't help but spout out us-versus-them myths and combative accusations that lack evidence and reason.

We looked like buffoons when we elected a reality TV laughing stock who personified a bad caricature of a typical asshole boss who says inappropriate stuff frequently amid cringe worthy self-congratulating psychobabble. But honestly, you should look into the actual facts and accomplishments of the Biden administration.

You're making a straw man argument now. Also, one can be a conservative without approving of Trump's self-serving version of the Republican Nationalist New World Order.

Oh I agree: it was definitely a legit assassination attempt. And there's nothing wrong or moronic to consider whether it was staged. I think it's foolish to conclude that it was staged based on some loose facts and quick assumptions, and there are too many logical issues this creates. Applying Occam's razor it becomes clear he was attacked in earnest by a disturbed young man hungry for political violence for reasons not fully understood yet highly politicized.
Very, very well-written and stated.

Are you a woman, attractive and into guys? I only ask because you've a fucking sexy mind and I'm getting a little hot under the collar. I'm single haha

Edit: please don't hurt me mods, it's a wee joke.

GSaVV_uWMAEwQwm
