Evening everyone, this is my first post so bear with me. I would like to bring to light something wonderful about DXM, it reduces the symptoms of tourette's syndrome (TS) by a lot.
As a person with tourettes I can tell you that anything to reduce the tics is great, and when the side effects are actually pleasant instead of aweful (ever taken haldol? If you haven't your lucky) is a welcome change.
I first noticed the effects of DXM on my TS when I first used it, which was on a day where my tics were really really bad (about once every 10-30 seconds). Me and my friends couldn't get any pot so we decided robo tripping would suffice, unfortunately we only had 2 bottles and 4 people. We each drank half a bottle and moved on with our day. I started feeling a little "floaty" and I noticed something strange, the tics stopped. Well needless to say I was relieved! It was getting pretty embarrassing.
This leads me to believe that DXM could actually be a valid treatment for TS, since the dose was so low it wouldn't be too debilitating, at least not as debilitating as TS itself can be.
Also, If anyone had any theories as to why DXM helps (brain chemistry) and if anyone else has experianced/heard of this. Thank you for your time.

Disassociation. The mind begins to disconnect from the body. They can essentially become two different entities in a single vessel. The TS remains in the mind while the body disconnects from it.

On a side note, awesome threads on BDD today. Cat nip and tourette's. We do not see these broached often. Go bluelight.
