20 years experience doesn't mean much. I have only "dropped" about 25 times in my life. It just means that at 34 I can still have a good time. No "Tim Leary" here, just a old guy keeping in touch with my youth.

Would you please put your comment in some context for me so I know what it is about.
I am interested in what you said as I am 30 and my hubbie is 33. It is great to see other 'oldies' around the scene. I assume from your post you are 34.
When did you first drop? Do you have friends your own age who think your going out etc is 'strange' as I have?
Anyway - hope you read and feel like answering.
Maybe we should do a post '30+ and still rolling' to see if there are others?

To back up a little to let you in on what set me off, I posted a reply to "Roll Call"
which ask you to tell something about yourself and your first roll. I posted that I was 34, in sales and live in a boring little town, Nashville, Tn. Someone listed only as "Agree" wrote a response back saying I was full of shit because I said my first roll came at the age of 15 and that I was still rolling at the ripe old age of 34. When I click on the profile for "agree" it was all fake. Fake e mail address and no real name listed. My profile shows my real name, age, occupation and where I live. I have a problem with someone telling me that I am full of shit and not have the balls to atleast list their true identity. I have not "dropped" that many times. I was only stating that even at the age of 34 I still knew how to have a good time, and at the same time being responsible for my actions. Age should not be an issue, and nobody should respond the way "agree" did without looking at themselves in the mirror. They (he or she) said I was full of shit, but it seems to me that they are the one's that are full of shit and have to hide behind fake names.
There are plenty of people over the age of 30 that still roll some time. I think the older you get the more "respect" you have for what "X" can do and how it opens certain doors to a new experience. If done correct with respect for what it can do to your body, someone can roll as long as they want. I don't have to have the approval of anyone just because I am over 30. I should say "We", all that are over 30, should not have to be expelled because we are getting older.
Sorry to be long winded, the response just got under my skin. I think it would be great if everyone over 30 got together for a roll call to create a information format for us "old farts" (hahahaha).

I really tip my hat to you. I hope that when I'm 34 I can still roll when I want to, and that I don't wind up dead or old by then... I like doing this stuff, and It's easy because society says that when you're 22 you SHOULD be out trying new things and having fun... I PERSONALLY think that we should always be able to try new things and have fun... = )

Hey guys, I'm 40 and Monday will be my one year E anniversary. I'm always shocked by the age stuff because I've worked in theater so long where you are constantly working with people from all ages, sexual proclivities, etc. I'm currently doing a show with a 60 year old actor who just gave me some of his Morrocan hash! I tell you this, there is no age I would want to go back to if I had to lose the lessons I've learned along the way. Its something I've noticed about people who are "different", they are just as quick to attack someone else who's "difference" is not the same as theirs. I say, if it doesn't harm anyone else, do whatever you want, freely and fearlessly!
 
Hi, I am in 43 roller form OZ. I have been rolling for about five years and I think its more about attitude than age.
It is great to see that there are a few older
rollers still out there.
I used to rock, but now I roll and roll and roll.

tigger - you are gorgeous and remind me of some of the younger bluelighters I have met in Sydney - thanks for your words of support. And I'd like to tell you that I NEVER give a flying rip about what society says we should do!!!!! Been around too long and studied too much history for that (actually I'd been around too long for that by age 18!! so age really has little to do with it)

Guru Daddy - It's been nearly a year for me too although I did have two goes at age about 22. Theatre sounds like a fun place to work!!!!! Unfortunately I never had any talent for it. I am an Engineer by profession (boring!!).
Francis - given your in Oz I'd love to meet. Which city?
Old farts rule!!!! I love being 'older' actually. I sort of prefer it which some of the younger ones probably don't understand but I'm sure you guys do.
 
S'pose I should come out as another old fart. 42 years old and still enjoying all the experiences I can get hold of. Always liked drugs and have dabbled in everything. Discovered ecstacy in Indonesia in 97, it was barely even illegal there at that time. Had a break after that and then rediscovered it back home when I found a source of supply. Supply can be a problem when your older and most of your friends have turned off, tuned out and dropped in!!!
So, I roll at home, not too often because I respect the drugs I take. And when the next new thing comes along I'll try that too. Got my eyes on 2CB already

I stole my dads pill once, I was getting some pot from his hiding place - I was getting it for him. I found 2 pills and some coke, thanks Dad, you older guys are the best!!!
