Time Dilation and Agitation

So on my last acid trip on January 9, I took a higher dose than I've taken previously (probably between 175 - 200 micrograms). I saw my ceiling fan melt into a colorful vortex, the walls transformed into spiraling patterns, when I looked into my living room ceiling it turned into a galaxy, with each speck turning into a star, whirling and spinning into an incredible array of patterns. In addition, I also saw intricate fractals that seemed to imitate symbols from Aztec, Mayan and Hindu cultures. However, about three or four hours into the trip, I became detached from the spectacular visuals and I noticed that the time dilation was become increasingly annoying. Five to ten minutes seemed like two hours more-or-less during the trip, and as I grew bored, I became agitated and irritated with the trippy effects as time elapsed at a tenth-of-a-snail's pace.

Overall, I definitely think the trip was awesome, and listening to music such as the Beatles or the Rolling Stones enhanced the trip early-on, but for the moments of timeless eternity, how do you deal with the agitating feeling that the trip isn't ending and time seems to drag on? Does alcohol ease any of the anxiety?

strange post in a way mate.
time dilation usually only happens to me if i'm uncomfortable in some way [ not always ] yet you say the trip was a good one.

Sounds to me like you should've gone for a walk :)

I call it concrete poisoning, its just boredom given a mindfucky edge by the psychedelics

oh and no i personally wouldnt take the edge off using drink. Maybe a joint, but that could also make things much worse

Time dilation is only a problem if you're not enjoying things. I love it because it makes a beautiful experience longer.

If you are not enjoying the dilation of challenging moments I would suggest dealing with those challenging moments. The best way to do this is to change the setting. Move rooms, change the song, go outside, etc.

It sounds like maybe you just need more things to do while tripping?

That's probably the case, I remember that the visuals lessened but the moments of timelessness were intense, and I became bored and then annoyed at loss of interest in visuals.
