sheesh you'd think nrg was a new thing, its been going around on oxford st for friggen ages, being a man of the ethnic persuasion i am well familiar with nrg, or HI NRG has it should be called, i figure nu-nrg is just a more marketable name, as with hard nrg...
DCMs were playing long before any other place, i used to get dragged their with my mate and his older brother as a spout, and all i can say is that im about 2 years over nrg (im not trying to sound cool)
its abrasive, repetitive and most of all boring.... plus it doesnt require jack to mix, so it fools people into thinking that the people who play it are good dj's
DIE NRG
DIE
plus more and more people are starting to do the "wog boy goin off @ DCM's martial art style fag prancing"
leading to a general over all decline of good dancing. i figure it took me about 6 mths to get over hi nrg.... but its starting to shit me how you can escape it, i mean its not that bad, but fuck when its played OVA and OVA, the same tracks OVA and OVA.
one thing i found soooo amusing is the "MoS" hard nrg tour, i mean its just like a any subbies/hard kandy night, in a different venue with a dj from another state who is perticualy crap, but just cause its ministry of sound, everyone is like "oh wow, i love ministry"
please dont take any offense to this guys, its just a rant and any friendly debate will be eargly shut down by my me :P hehe

the secret to success is clean underwear and a good top hat

oh god where's Psyentist when you need him hehehe

Music is about perosnal expression and emotion, each to their own in the end - I don't mind listening to it once in awhile, but I don't go out of my way for it. It does get very boring very quickly!
On the subject of it dying, I wonder if it would take Hard Kandy with it? It's just a question, honestly Bass Junky I mean nothing by it

My 'local' (the fucked up Mercury Hotel in Newcastle) plays nothin but NRG and i hate it!! I sit there week after week and abuse the dj in my head...for christs sake he is using CD'S!!!! And it bugs me even more to see two good as new Vestax(digital kind) turntables sitting there being used as a mobile phone and V drink holder!!!!
DIE NRG DIE!!!
When will people(drunks) realise that there is more to 'clubbing' than some fucked up 4/4 beat and a whole bunch of fucking fucked up sirens!!!! And then the fuckers think that yelling out 'woop, woop' every second beat is COOL??!!!
EXCUSE ME, BUT IF YOU 'WOOP,WOOPED' IN HOME -IM PRETTY SURE YOU'D RECIEVE A KICK TO THE HEAD!!
I HATE NRG
IM WITH STYLIN
MAKE IT DIE

You can kick the monkey all you want...but what do you do when he wakes up?

Yay!! I hate NRG too!!! Boring, boring, boring.
Much happier listening to funky sort of stuff that takes talent to produce AND mix
smile.gif
Soooo much better for dancing to aswell. Or even a bit of old fashioned trance - what happened to those feel-good, rushy buildups???

The bass is so loud my ears are hurting!!!

its a youngun thang. the only djs they get to see are cheesewads like mr fish, dynamix etc. (who dont help by changing their style to cater to cheesy tastes) at u18 events. the only cds they buy are wild, since they dont know any better.
its also an etard thing. too many pills and youll listen to anything

Psyentist had good taste in not liking NRG!!!!
I'm fucking sick of it. Thing is I've got all of these new recruits that I hang with
wink.gif
, but somehow they end up listening to NRG no matter how much I try and keep them away from the shit!!!!!!!!!!!
You know what I hate more though ???? (doesn't happen much anymore though thank god). When you go to a party, they're playing that NRG shit and someone is blowing a fucking whistle!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Get over it people...
Stop thinking your so fucking superior because you're oh so clever enough to jump on an already aging bandwagon...
Ps... I'm no real fan of NRG anymore, but remember people have the right to express themselves as they wish without fear of being pulled up by the thought police...
My 2cents...

Lol @ stylin- and oxford street seemed so cool to us when i was in year 11. then found sublime on pitt in year 12. and now im sick of em all. lmfao!
been to NV lately? or dcms? well, trust me, you dont want to! lol NV is full of ppl i dont like (stereotypicalnessisbadbuthey), music that lalala and well, i was there on a bad pill. (this about 3 months ago). dcms is only good on a special night, every other its shit. (yes, experienced the "other" 2 fridays ago. hehe. booooooo to oxford st.
hoorahhhhh to plastik n the cross.

hahahahh.. what a pisser.
love ya werk, stylin.
i totally agree.
but i gotta admit theres nothing quite as therapeutic for lazy asses such as myself as going nuts to those blaring trumpet noises for 10 hours straight.
i think i could only do it once every 12 months though, the way i am these days..

When I first started out, it simply had to be hard nrg. Now it is like I can only dance to some the hard stuff (like the Green Court mix of "Enjoy this trip") and am I now really into trance. Less show off's, more melody.

i dont forsee nrg dying anytime soon, trance itself is moving in that direction with faster bpm and shorter breakdowns.
while progressive house is trying to disassociate itself from that, getting deeper and darker.
gimme back the epic sound

Here here.
I still love a good old skool set.
I may have heard "Meet her at the love parade" a zillion times, but I still love it.

It's established, it won't go away now... it may change a bit, but like the McOz it's here to stay. Also like the McOz if you don't like it than steer clear. At least NRG came on it's own, and didn't replace the mucical equivilant of the McFeast...

ah..I miss NRG...time to whip out my MOS Cd....thank god I don't have to listen to it all the time though.

Shut up. If I wanted to listen to an arsehole, I would have farted.
