Thinking about changing my major.

Right now my major is economics, but I'm finding the more indepth it goes the less I'm interested. Really, I think the first eco class is the only one I've enjoyed which is when i decided on my major.
Right now, I'm contemplating on switching to either history, political science, or chemistry. Right now my minor is history, so if I switched to that I think I would only be behind one semester(I'm a junior right now). I don't think I'd be able to start the Poly sci classes until next year if I were to choose that one. And it seems chemistry has a lot of prerequisites, which would take quite a while to go through.

So far the history major seems the most appealing, which I would probably get with a minor in German.
Could anyone possibly share some insight about these majors? The only related chemisty classes I've had was chemisty with quantitative analysis and biology, and the chem class wasn't exactly easy for me. The only poly sci class I've had was local governments and laws, which was an online class I didn't learn much from, so I really don't know much about that major or classes.
Any insight would be much appreaciated.

EDIT- I forgot to mention that the eco classes I'm taking now are the only upper level(3000) that I've taken. I find throughout my day I like going to my german and history class, but really don't care for the eco classes. The german and history are 1000 and 2000 classes. I'm worried that it may just be that I don't like the advanced classes, and if I were to swtich I'd be in the same position when I reach the upper classes for another major.

best insight u can get -> pick ur area of study based on what you love the most

how much do you enjoy history over the rest? pick it if its ur fav!

People say pick the things you like the most, but thats not always going to work. I like science (specifically chemistry) more than other subjects, but I'm majoring in Biology because I can't handle the math that goes with chemistry. Even now, I cant handle the math in my Bio major, so I'm going to have to change to something else. :|

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I'm going to go with a major I kind of overlooked called modern language combination. It looks like it's kind of a duel major in two languages, but focusing on one more than the other.

I changed my major and I'm soooooooo glad I did.
It's definitely better than ending up in a job you don't like.

I got my B.S in political science. However when I had nearly completed all my upper division PS courses, I got very sick of writing essays. It was all very interesting to me, but I just felt like it was not "useful" information.

I did not switch my major. Instead I stuck it out and completed my P.S degree, but at the same time I started taking science classes towards a biology minor as well. I ended up taking the Biology 251, 252, 253 series, Genetics, Evolution, and Anatomy and Physiology....all of which greatly contributed to my education.

protovack, we all know your major was "smoking bowls". ;)
...
Do not rule out dual-majoring or dual-majoring with a minor...or triple-majoring. This can be doable if you can put everything under the umbrella of a BS.

I just found this out...i am contemplating doing so because it really only adds a few classes.

^^^^

me too dream. In order to double major in Accounting & Finance it would only add one more semester. The fact that I believe that I'd be very interested in Finance makes this really inticing. There are other factor's beyond my control that are influencing my decision in away.

I really need to start making money is the man one.

Btw to the original poster, if you switch from econ to history or poli sci, what are you going to make your career path?
