Things that are bitter in a good way

I dunno, I make my green tea with 100 degree Celsius water and it is quite bitter, I actually like it that way though. This is not tea from a bag either.

The problem is the temperature of your water is much too hot.
An ideal temperature for steeping most green teas is ~75-80C.
Also, how long do you steep it for?
If the tea was grown in Japan, you should steep it no longer than 60 seconds.
If the tea was grown in China, it can be steeped for longer, up to 2 minutes.
Of course these times are just in general, not set in stone or anything, and indeed no two tea are alike.
There is wiggle room and also other factors to consider like how the tea was processed(steamed? fried? rolled?).
However the water temperature is pretty much unanymously agreed upon.

Of course, you're free to drink your tea in any way you wish. :)
