I like to believe that every time a politician uses the word truth, an extra thousand years of torture is added to their sentence in hell. :)

You know I almost made that point too, but I just couldn't say it with a straight face with what our current potus gets away with.

So instead all I can say is... Impeachments are political, the evidence and the truth are of only marginal relevance.

Honestly I'd almost find it kinda impressive if he did. You can't say he doesn't have balls.

No doubt he'd come out and tell everyone "it was a perfect meeting".
 
The Republicans are really throttling the press.

Reporters are being confined to small cordoned-off sections of areas where unrestricted access was typically standard. They are being prevented from walking with senators to continue conversations — even when the senator involved is willingly participating.

Reporters also now may not approach senators for interviews in the halls surrounding the Senate chamber.

Taken together, the new rules effectively prevent members of the press from reaching many senators.

The actual testimony was good, but I wasn’t impressed with the conduct of either side.
I don’t hold the Senate less responsible for holding a fair trial, though.

Yes, sadly he does. I haven’t checked the authenticity of the tweet because it’s exactly like something he would tweet. 😕
