(I didn't see any threads for this movie, But i think we should make a poll on this movie so people can rate it!!)

I know this is an older movie but man I love this movie. I always loved the cinematography in The Rules of Attraction. Plus its got a good story line and is just a fun watch. I think Roger Avery did a good job on it.

"Let there be poll."

And there was poll.

Love this movie by the way. It's often referred to as Pulp Fiction Jr. They both have interesting characters and intertwining story lines, so I can see the similarities.

Voted ***

I expected it to be as good as American Psycho (that film is hilarious).. I liked it but it wasn't nearly as good as I expected, I wouldn't be able to tell u what I did or didn't like because it wasn't too memorable, and I watched it two days ago!

The novel from which this film is (somewhat freely/loosely) taken is much better, IMO (not that this is uncommon). It just misses the mark for me. The importance of the thesis, that nobody ever actually "knows" anyone else truthfully. Its all false, half perception.

the extended shot where the two split screen sections featuring lauren and sean eventually meet in the middle is one of my favourite scenes of all time.

LoL ok someone must of just got done watching the little "Sundance" cinemotography thingy on the DVD!! lol am I right or am I right? you know i am alasdairm ;) so don't lie to me, yourself, or us.

But yeah that was a good scene man. I liked the whole movie despite what you other wallabies might think. This movie was damn good.
My favorite scene thingy was when it depicted that guys travels thru Europe, i forget his name, victor I believe..? so yeah my favorite part was the "Victor Montage" <<--- check it out on youtube!!!

I probably got the best movie library in the entire world, but i guess we all must think that huh? lol :D

Like being high out of your mind on speed for a week across the continent... I agree that this is the crowning achievement of the film, at least from an editing, and montage stand point. Might be one of the b est parts of the book as well.

love this movie. and the book. Bret easton ellis is my number one favorite author. he inspires me so much and i agree, the cinematography is great.

yea i like to watch it at least once in awhile with a friend that hasn't seen it, so I've probably watched it about 10 times. Its one of those movies u can watch more then once and still enjoy yourself... its kinda like Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Fight Club, Platoon and etc, in the way that you can watch the movie more then once and still enjoy it each time.
