The rolling stones are the grittiest and therefore greatest in my book. It seems they have some tunes to fit whatever mood your feeling at any given time. I love most of their albums too, especially from the 70s. They didn't necessarily strive for perfection either, which adds to the vibe i think.

Anyways, whats stones tunes is BL feeling?

i love the rolling stones. i learned to play guitar in college and when i discovered how to play 5-string open g i was in heaven.

i travelled round europe for a month when i finished college. on the return journey to scotland, the guys i was with offered to drive me into london to drop me at my sisters house. i asked them to drop me off in dartford so i could get the train into london and stand on the platform where mick jagger and keith richards met for the first time. :)

favourite track: tumblin' dice
favourite album: exile on main street

damn-and i thought i was the only hardcore stones fan around- supa cool to know there is others who appreciate genius. i go thru phases of listenin to certain albums and right now its SOME GIRLS, again- BEAST OF BURDEN always hovers around my top 3 stones joints

The Rolling Stones will always remain my favourite band (or at least I'm positive it will always remain in the top 3). Everything they released in the 60s and up until around Goat Head's Soup is amazing. Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile are obviously the 4 greats. Goat's Head comes close behind and It's Only Rock & Roll is great too. As big of a Stones fan as I am though, even I find it difficult to listen to some of their later stuff like Black & Blue and Undercover (Some Girls and Tattoo You are good though).

I suggest anybody who is interested in the Stones to check out Rock & Roll Circus and Gimme Shelter (the film). The Stones always knew (know!) how to have a great time!

RR Circus and Gimme Shelter are good concert films but my alltime favorite has always been 81-82' tours filmed for LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER cause off the song selection, and late 70's/ early 80's were the stones at the height of their coolness IMO- i'm a little younger for the average stones fan, and picked up on them pretty late in there career (mid-80's)
- there is some awesome outakes and B-sides from sticky fingers thru undercover (that i had and misplaced, etc on vinyl) that i hope will be released in the future

Favourite album -- Exile on Main Street/Let it Bleed (can't decide!)

Favourite tracks -- Gimme Shelter, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Paint it Black.

I could never get into the Stones when I was younger -- odd, because I love blues-driven rock. Might have to listen to some now!
