The Red Pill or The Blue Pill?

Which would you take? And what does the question itself mean to you?
When Neo was offered the two pills, the blue pill represented going back to his 'normal' life and having no idea of what was really going on... The red pill represented escaping the matrix and the beginning of the path to freedom for humanity...
If we take that idea and expand upon it, the blue pill could be thought of as the desire to hide from reality and continue a mundane, but comfortable existance...
But it could also be thought of as an escape from reality in order to experience something more enjoyable and less pressuring...
When we take drugs, which pill are we taking? The red one so we can see how deep the rabbit hole goes? Or the blue one so we can escape the world inside the rabbit hole for a more comfortable one?

I'm jut waiting for someone to say they take drugs to expand the mind....
 
I'd take em both, evenly spaced of course, and I'd EZ test em to make sure they're the real thing hehhe
My reasoning? Just to have fun, don't read much more into it than that

if you think about it, we all have taken the blue pill for the majority of our younger life, till we found the red pill. therefore most of us have chosen to take the red pill for something new, out of the mundane (sp?) life we knew the blue pill to be. then there is the point of turn around when the red gets too much and we will gladly settle for the blue again. then we dabble in the red, and then in the blue....etc.
the world can be just as shallow in the red as in the blue. the mixture of both can ( and does, for me) make an interesting contour for life. reddish blue.

In my opinion...the blue pill = addiction. The composition of ecstasy means every pill will be different. Hence, with ecstasy, you are taking a red pill every time. By taking the blue pill, (in reference to the Matrix), Neo was effectively committing suicide. Not much of a choice, really.

It is good to hae a change once in awhile. I know that in life, there are always choices to be made, mistakes to be made and happiness to be found.
Does it matter whether we take the red or blue pill? Just as long as all of us know what we want to achieve in life and to always be going forward .... it really doesn't matter.
We can be taking the blue pill and be unhappy for the rest of life coz we've never tried the red one ot too afraid to cross over the line?
Or we can take the red pill and be unhappy as well. Coz some of us are always in search of happiness or the "ORB" as i call it. Or we overdo it and went over the limits.
I dunno whether im going out of topic here but there is a quote from a friend that I found it really true and differentiates a junkie and a druggie. She said that a druggie uses the drug but a junkie abuses it. Just my two cents ......

In my younger days it started off with the blue pill, to escape from the "pressures of school work" (yeah right!) but yet at the same time it cld have been a little of the red pill, where we wanted to experiment with life and wat's life all about.
Yes the empahsis would have been on the blue pill.
However, nowadays it would be more of the red pill then the blue pill. Recently, sessions have included discussions on life, delving into the minds of others and self-discovery.
I dunno if what i have juz said sounded like rambling but it makes sense in my head...see wheat happens when u take too many blue pills! haha

neither really.
we take a pill to reach the cross roads that neo has found himself at.
we take drugs to escape the normality of the world the blue pill will bring us.
drugs give us the paranoia and questioning of life to believe the world of the red pill exists, but we never quite achieve 'freedom of humanity'. ie we know the rabbit hole exists. but we never see how deep it goes.
 
I'm with you Tars on the line of thinking there...i think? Sometimes the blue pill does represent escape from our reality or 'normal' life, which can in itself be a good or bad thing....depending on your approach.
And maybe the red pill represents coming back to the 'everyday world' and all the crap that goes on re: cities, govt, etc.
I guess the question is which is the real world?
....could go on about this for hours but it's 2am and Mills is tomorrow night so it's time for some shut eye!
 
I am new posting here. After lurking for numerous months I am finally sentient... Hey.
You are all *damn* cool folks, I know, because I have been watching your interactions unfold. Anywaze, Hello. Post No. one, here goes:
Red Pill or Blue Pill?
Its the BLUE Pill! E, Raves, "the scene" are all constructs of human creation. We produced this alternative rave world into which we make our forays. The decor, the crazy stuff we wear, the music we listen to and the substances we take are all our attempts at entering another reality. The same usual rules, responsibilites and social contracts that govern our normal lives do not apply in such an environment... Raves exist for hedonistic escapism. It's not real, but it is pretty dammn amazing. We in effect plug ourselves into our own "Matrix." However instead of being controled by some sinister computer system, it is run by our collective conciousness. The induvidual becomes secondary to the group, and everybody moves to the same beat. Nhilism en masse! Its an emphatic experience because we all recognise our common aspects within each other that make up the huge party organism. Remarkable... Yeah!
We all enjoy raves because they offer us a break, A journey into limbo or purgatory. Yet, the single caution that goes with the territory is you cannot run away from reality for ever. Nietzsche tells us that we need to endure our difficulties or we cannot achieve pleasure for we have nothing to guage it against. Thats a good consolation to keep in mind when things have a tendancy to fuckup or make you feel bad.
So... Go to a Rave, take the blue pill! I'll see you there, so say hey.
Remember though, the Red pill can also be just as satisfying.

So it seems the blue pill takes us into our happy little world of raves (remember you dont have to pill to enjoy them

).
But of course in taking the blue pill we inevitably take the red pill as well when we come back down to reality. My existance is happy anyway so I have no issues with the red pill but the blue pill is so comfortable and fun.
By the way does anyone know who the rabbit hole tune is by? Love that tune.
Interesting topic Tars, but the way I've read into it now its a double drop no matter what.
