The One and Only Official CEP Ron Paul Thread

Uhhh....

Campaign....whaddaya think?

It takes money to run for office these days....and especially considering he started out as a nobody....its quite an acheivement....

Take this from that article for example:

In an interview late last month, he told Politico.com he thought it was "bad for the country" that fundraising played such a prominent role in American politics.

"The democratic process should be based on candidates' ideas, but we had to go within the system," he said. "We have to use the money to get people to pay attention to what [Paul] actually stands for."

Has anyone considered the fact that Ron Paul may not have been recieving all this money from JUST his supporters?

Maybe he's using his campaign as a way to launder money from his secret drug ring?

8o

wtf??!

You gotta be kidding, and you don't need a presidential campaign to launder money, just some loser to cash some money orders and send the shit back to you Western Union®. All of us in the dope show know that. ;)

SWEET!!!

That'd be AWESOME!! =P

If Liberty is a drug (I've been shooting up for about 10 months now....) Then yes, it's a money laundering scheme where he's selling liberty to those that want it.

I'm hooked on liberty.
It's a pity the rest of the nation wants to keep me from having it =(

Obviously you're not in the "dope show" cause that is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

ya that certainly would *not* be an effective way to launder cash.

(well, to be fair, it would be but it'd be pointless - the only sums you could launder that way wouldn't need to be laundered in the first place, if the values were high enough to warrant that then western union wouldn't really be much use to you)

Well, you'd be surprised to know how many times people would bring in a whole stack of $999 money orders and then turn around and wire the cash in just as many $999 transfers... at the same place. 8o Of course, I've would never have done anything like that......

^trying to get less regulation on drugs, but getting austerity in the same bargain?

the entire system is flawed, yes, but austerity will decay it (our communities and our system) further while exacerbating the wealth gap. not a good bargain imo.
