British rocker Pete Doherty has reportedly been asked to star in a new reality TV show, which will lock up celebrity drug addicts while they try to get clean.

TV company Endemol -- the creators of "Big Brother" -- will film the group of addicts 24 hours a day as they go through rehabilitation.

Kate Moss' boyfriend and Babyshables frontman Doherty has battled cocaine and heroin addiction and is said to be one of several stars asked to take part in "Rock Stars in Rehab."

An inside source tells Britain's the Sunday Mirror, "It's going to be like Spinal Tap meets The Priory. The plan is to put a group of well-known faces with a very public drug problems into a rehab and just let the cameras run."

Ugh!

Given that most reality TV is based on the premise that images of people fucking up is fun, introducing the concept to the process of medical and psychological intervention seems pretty tasteless.
 
Why not have a 'Big Brother' for schizophrenics. After all, they THINK they are being watched all the time so it would cure them. It wouldn't be in their heads anymore, it would be true!!!

Kate MossKate Moss and Pete Doherty have checked into a London clinic together to help the troubled rocker conquer his drug addictions.

The pair were photographed yesterday arriving at the Capio Nightingale Hospital in north London, which specializes in helping patients overcome drug dependency. It is thought the pair will attend therapy sessions together.

A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "They arrived together and they will be supporting each other."

Doherty has attempted rehab on numerous occasions in a bid to tackle his heroin and crack cocaine habits. Moss was herself treated in 2005 after being caught on camera snorting cocaine.

Maybe the next time he relapses he can be on the reality show :)
 
Coke and heroin addiction huh, that would be a interesting show - and by that I mean Fox would air it, leaving me with nothing better to watch.

Hmm. Tasteless idea, yes. But better than anything else on tv. Except maybe "Family Guy". Maybe they can find someone who's actually physically addicted to LSD (hey, it could happen, right?) and try to get him to stop. How fucking crazy would that guy be? HAHA!

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has been accused of taking drugs in a Thailand hostel, just two days after he and Kate Moss's New Year's Day blessing.

A British newspaper has published snaps of the star surrounded by drug paraphernalia and appearing to inject a substance into his arm.

They were taken by an Australian backpacker who claims Doherty took drugs in her hostel room while talking to the supermodel on a mobile phone.

Jess Lea claims she and a friend recognised the singer and invited him back to their room after spotting him buying needles from a drug store in the Thai resort of Phuket.

Lea claims Doherty sneaked off from Moss to buy drugs just days after the pair's romantic ceremony - but the rocker was bombarded by phone-calls from the supermodel.

The 21-year-old tells The Sun, "She did seem quit pissed off, with him constantly pleading, 'What's wrong? I love you.'"

When she asked if he would marry Moss, Doherty told Lea and her pal, "No. I love her but I wouldn't marry her if she was the last woman on earth. She's too paranoid."

Back in Britain, Doherty and Moss were yesterday seen checking into a London rehab clinic, where the supermodel reportedly plans to help her addict lover finally kick his drug addictions.

Hard enough being a junkie without having millions of people ready to report your activity to the media. People on this side of the Atlantic barely know who he is, if he wasn't with Kate Moss I doubt the average American would care. The media here can't even pronounce his fucking name right.

Doherty's drug binge

An Australian backpacker has told of how she shared her Thai hotel room with notorious British musician Pete Doherty while he shot-up drugs and was pestered by his girlfriend Kate Moss.

Jess Lea, 21 of Sydney, was holidaying in the southern Thai resort of Phuket when she recognised Doherty as he was buying syringes at a chemist, according to a report in Britain's The Sun newspaper.

Lea, a fan of the Babyshambles frontman, invited him back to the room she was sharing with friends at a $A20 a night hostel.

It was there that Doherty, who has dodged jail sentences on the proviso that he undergo drug rehabilitation, shot-up drugs throughout the night.

Lea said she saw him inject drugs at least three times between 1.30am and 4am.

"It was a bit mind-blowing," Lea said.

"Initially we were, like, 'Okay go for it', but as time went on we began to get nervous."

Penalties for drug possession and use are very strict in Thailand.

The Australian backpacker said Doherty denied he had undergone any type of reported wedding ceremony with supermodel Moss in Thailand, but he said "I love her but I wouldn't marry her if she was the last woman on Earth - she's too paranoid".

Doherty borrowed Lea's mobile to call Moss that night, and then Moss reportedly rang back on her number several times asking Doherty where he was and who he was with.

"She did seem quite pissed off, with him constantly pleading, 'What's wrong, I love you'.

The report said the girls eventually persuaded Doherty to leave, but he could not remember where his upmarket villa was in the resort strip of Patong, other than it was near the Bob Marley cafe.

"When we went downstairs, he asked the man on reception where he could score some heroin," Lea said.

"Then he went up to every taxi driver asking if they could score him some drugs.

"I sent Kate a text reading, 'Dropped Peter off at the Bob Marley cafe. He's a bit out of sorts'.

"That's the last we saw of him."

This is beyond disgusting, it is so upsetting to watch him waste the talent he has on this bullshit. Having been through withdrawals myself a few times I can't understand why ANYONE would ever want to watch something that hellish. Moreso I can't understand why anyone would want to be under the watchful eye of asshole cameras 24/7 while going through that. Hopefully he just says no. In regards to the video of him shooting cocaine I only made it through the first 10 seconds before having to turn it off, it was pretty disturbing.

Yes, but he is a talented attention seeking mess. It's sad really, he has MAJOR problems and he is constantly under the cameras watchful eye. It's pretty obvious that he is an out and out junkie though.
 
Doherty`s guitar checked for drugs in rehab
London, Feb 03: Kate Moss` junkie boyfriend Pete Doherty`s guitar was searched at a hospital unit in Britain over suspicion that the star is trying to smuggle in drugs through it.

The rocker asked for an amplifier and guitar to be brought to London’s Capio Nightingale Hospital. But staff thought it might be a trick to surreptitiously bring in a stash of heroin or cocaine.

No drugs were found, but a source said: “People try any trick to smuggle in a supply so staff took no chances.

“Pete’s a mess. He’s using the name Alexander in the hospital but I’m sure all the other patients know who he is,” The Sun quoted the source, as adding.(ANI)Meanwhile, according to The Daily Mail, friends of Moss, 32, have once again asked her to `"take some time off" from the Babyshambles star.

And rumours have surfaced that the supermodel is thinking of taking her well wishers` advices seriously this time, after lurid photos appeared of Pete injecting himself with cocaine during his Thai holiday with her.

A source close to the model said: "Kate is understandably livid about these pictures. That they were taken just two days after their special commitment ceremony simply adds insult to injury."

"Of course Kate still loves Pete and vice-versa but she`s a clever woman and knows that she has got to put her career first. Kate needs to start looking after herself - or at least be seen to be doing so - and has been strongly advised to take some time off from Pete. This means not getting herself photographed with him and certainly no raucous nights out - at least until the fuss has all died down a bit," the source added.

Yep, the guy is unable to be discreet with his usage. I think Keith Richards said it best 'I don't have a drug problem, I have a police problem'. With the money Pete has, he could go to a private, Harley street doctor & get prescribed heroin.
