Representative democracy is an oligopoly, not true democracy. Direct democracy is the most efficient and ethical form of governance.
The elites want to increase national GDP and the value of their investments by a consistent % every year, and to do this, they must continuously inflate the cost of surviving and thriving.
Our way of life depends on the artificial subjection of a significant fraction of the human population to extreme labour worse than that of the african american slaves of the 1800s.
No longer are people owned by individuals, but instead, the municipal government intentionally inflates property value to both appease their wealthy voters as well as assure the lower class, statistically speaking, cannot participate in the free market nor achieve a dignified standard of living. That the vast majority of our paychecks must go towards the pockets of the elites themselves instead of paying for legitimate services or products.
This is materially unnecessary in the 21st century, and only a result of absolute laziness and inefficiency.
As it stands, the vast majority of people, especially in the middle-upper class, work "stupid jobs". jobs in which they don't provide value, in which they work extremely inefficiently and in which they're essentially just pawns in a ponzi scheme.
They're legal fodder. They're paid from the pot of "property taxes" to continue to fight for the government. They're a pseudo army.
There's a reason car insurance costs 2x what a car payment does. There's a reason it costs a 20 year old 2x more to rent a room in a cockroach infested apartment than a 40 year old has to pay on their monthly mortgage for a townhouse. There's a reason they still charge people to attend highschool in Canada in the year 2021, let alone apply to and attend post secondary.
The economy is an inefficient ponzi scheme and an absolute disgrace to the free market.
The cost of a house is far less than the cost of vacant land. You buy a $50,000 structure and pay 20x that for the land, and a fucktonne in property taxes every year.
Due to antiquated maritime law, it technically costs less to build and live on a yacht than it does in a small apartment with 3 roommates, let alone buy a condo.
I love the freemarket and capitalism, but those in positions of power have bastardized the economy so much I expect most economies to collapse entirely within the next 20 years.
It's suppose to be a meritocracy, but rn it's just a nepotistic oligopoly.
Once upon a time, you could walk into the forest and try to survive. Now, you will be abducted and tortured by the government for attempting to do so. All land is owned by the government or a private individual attempting to make profit off your existence. This is unacceptable.
Parties don't care about you, you have no power. You get to choose who makes decisions for you. You have no control yourself. It's like picking someone to choose what you eat every day for 4 years. That's not freedom to decide yourself. Their primary goal is to attain and maintain power. One side panders to the poor the other the rich, and both refuse to do anything for either group. They spend decades destroying each others hard work instead of actually building a functional government.
This results in extreme dualism, which they use against us for their own benefit. You're not allowed to vote moderately, to vote for both cannabis legalization and lower taxes. It's a package deal, just like comcast, you pick the poor person package or the rich person package. And both don't actually do what they claim to. You're not rewarded for nuanced and education opinions, theres no reason to have an educated opinion on each issue, either support the rich or the poor, and either vote will do worse for both groups than a legitimate efficient direct democracy.
Don't even get me started on the fact that the vast majority of mental illnesses seem to respond more positively to CBT or DBT than any pharmaceutical, yet in Canada you cannot get anything but a drug prescription for mental health issues. CBT/DBT costs more per person and has less corporate profit potential than drugs therefor mentally ill are given pharmaceutical lobotomies because the doctors are too lazy to do their jobs.
There's no fucking microchips in the vaccines, the truth is obvious, the majority benefit from our fucked up system. There's no evil person behind a curtain. The evil person is your average home owner. The average college/university student who decided to give money to an organization that doesn't deserve it. Hitler didn't kill any jews, the nazis did. The people of Germany carried out the holocaust, there will always be crazy assholes, it is the general publics responsibility to do what is right even if they're being offered nice jobs to comply with evil.
This is our fault. It's our responsibility to fix it. Either figure out how to implement direct democracy within your country, or figure out how to make houseboats and join the community of houseboats roaming international waters.
If you're too lazy and stupid to do that, then do your fucking job properly and efficiently, don't steal from people and give back to your family and community. Create as much value as you can, stop slacking, stop doing dumb bullshit your boss tells you to, stand up for what you know is right, try to help you boss understand the potential benefits, don't throw a fit nor sit there in silence. And most importantly, hold those around you to high standards.
Y'all where given unimaginable amounts of luxury as a result of the hard work of millions of people who fucking died far before they could be rewarded for their efforts. It is your duty to continue contributing to this cycle of incremental progress. If you sit there and live and die, without contributing to technology or society positively, you're being selfish, and future generations will suffer as a result.
You're literally not allowed to live without paying the government a monthly survival subscription fee. This happened more than 200 years ago. Y'all acting like this some new phenomenon. Shit was destroyed a while ago.
The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose from off the common,
But lets the greater felon loose
Who steals the common from the goose. -18th century poem (
