literally i am one fucking mod on a drug website. i am not a representative of the illuminati or the new world order or whatever. we are harm reduction focused and therefore some things are not tolerated in our more serious forums. MH being one of them. me deleting an off topic post is not evidence that someone refusing a vaccine made the right decision, its not remotely connected to that decision. the relevant factors for that are things like the wealth of data demonstrating the safety and efficacy of these vaccines, not a mod on a forum.
my views are based entirely on my own reading of academic papers and discussions with world class molecular biologists in my professional network, i accept that others don't have the skills to assess that information or access to those types of people. as such i am well equipped to judge what is or is not nonsense in this context. that's not relevant, what is relevant is that i'm not part of some conspiracy to censor 'the truth' or whatever you think your post was. if you want to go somewhere with 'free speech' go and join whatever has replaced parler. here you have the BLUA and every sub forum has its own rules.

who? citation please? i have never once heard that, i've heard that i'll be less likely to get it and that i'm less likely to get very ill if i do get it. but never any absolutes. i've only seen them set up as straw men from people such as yourself.
and i can pretty much guarantee without knowing who you are going to cite for your assertion that they are not a serious scientific source, because nobody who understands the complexities of such things thinks or talks in such a binary way.

The problem is that politicians and health officials have claimed many times that it's a "pandemic of the unvaxxed" and that you're way less likely to transmit COVID if your vaccinated. Both are dumb to say, and it took ages for studies to appear that actually confirmed there was an (albeit minor) effect on transmission. Especially if you're taking into account that the vaccines had waned for a large group of individuals + omicron.
This is the study I read a while ago (page 7). Transmission reduction, especially for omicron, is almost negligent even among the boosted (only 1 study though). And in European countries, vaxxed people can go everywhere and do everything so I imagine that any transmission reduction is compensated by the COVID passes.

Come on, media, politicians were hyping this up as the way to freedom, with everything opening up etc. Later on they changed to blaming a lot on the unvaxxed people.

The director of the CDC says right here that "vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don't get sick". It's ~30 seconds into the video.

most of the people who aren't news anchors in that video use terms such as:
"almost no infection"
"reducing transmission"
"very low risk"
i would like to see the video context for the statement
"do not carry the virus, don't get sick" - i suspect its more nuanced than that sound byte lets on. still though, on average the statement is correct. people who get vaccinated get less sick and transmit the virus less.
most of the absolutes in that video are for US news anchors, made for a poorly educated audience. get your opinions from a large body of peer reviewed papers, not videos, and you'll be less likely to go wrong in future.
oh just watched to the end- i dunno what the fuck joe biden is doing telling people they won't get covid with a vaccine. his advisers and speech writers fucked up. again, get information from scientists, not politicians and the media.
edit, on reflection the main takeaway from this is that you base important life decisions on tweets and soundbites. that's really sad, like i'm not taking the piss, i'm genuinely sorry and i wish i knew a more effective means of helping you to make good decisions for yourself.
