i just pointed out that the vaccines have helped significantly, even with omicron, though the impact is much lower in this case. i don't see how 'vaccines make you less likely to contract covid, less likely to get seriously ill, and less likely to transmit it.' is not a real answer to your question, namely 'how is it doing anything'

I'm confused. Are you talking about your meds going up $3 a pill? If so, that's outrageous... but it sounds like you're saying you get five boxes of medication for $20? Is that really breaking the bank?

The government isn't your daddy. It's not their job to love you. Same goes for big pharma. They aren't evil. Pharmaceuticals save more lives than they kill, overall. You can't say the same for recreational drugs.

That's not what I said.

In fairness, I didn't clarify why I made that statement.

I would get a 4th jab now because I've had basically no reaction whatsoever from the first 3 jabs, plus being triple jabbed is pretty effective against omicron, in terms of lessening symptoms. My expectation is that I will get the virus if I don't have it already because it's running rampant in my industry. There is so much exposure for us, that it's inevitable. Honestly, I think it's probably inevitable for everyone. I think we all need to get it.

I wasn't tricked into getting vaccinated. I made an informed decision based on the available data and I would make the same decision again today. There is no reason to assume I'm going to have a negative reaction from another shot.

Some of you guys have already rolled the dice with the virus. I haven't done that yet. My ex wife has cancer. I just found out the other day. She said it's been growing inside her slowly for years. God knows what the fuck I've got going on after all the shit I've slammed into my veins. I must have consumed more than a cement mixer full of alcoholic beverages this past year alone.

I'm not afraid of the virus. I never have been. I'm just being precautious... which, incidentally, is what you guys are doing I guess. With the vaccines, I mean.

Pfizer is developing an omicron jab. I'll have that one next.

you're being precautious? if you were being precautious, you would've stopped to wait and see what develops after jab #2....that's being precautious

Yes.

3 dollars a script.

They all use to be 1.30.
For the past 5 years I never paid more than a 1.30

Was told the manufacturers price & pharmacy price went up.

And yes, when you live on low income like myself, it is breaking the bank.

A jump from 8 bucks to 20 bucks is pretty huge IMO.

It also didn't help that I wasn't informed that this would take place. Good thing I held onto that extra cash right?

I've done nothing this entire 'pandemic' and have even tried to intentionally catch covid. Still no luck there.

There are lots of people that want to do the right thing. Not everyone is evil. The fentanyl thing in the US is a disaster, but that's not happening where I live.

Who is this "they" I keep hearing about? Is it all of the US government or all of all the governments working together? I'm not joking. I keep asking this question and I never get anything but a vague dismissive response. I really want to know who they are.

I don't think I said anyone is protecting us. The government is protecting themselves. They've been doing so right from the beginning. The vaccines offer some protection. I did say that.

Actually I wasn't "anti-vaxxer" until this shit happened. Now I DO question "vaccines" more.

Which this isn't a "vaccine" either. Vaccines give immunity, no matter how many times they change the definition.

I've already been wished death upon by another staff member here for not "taking the jab".

It's insane.

I struggle to believe that.

The vast majority of offensive posts in the COVID threads and the most problematic posters are on the anti-vax side. People on the pro side have been remarkable civil most of the time, considering the standard of discussion. (IMO)
