Unfortunately, the age-adjusted data out of Quebec, Canada is showing the same thing. Unvaccinated individuals in the past month were 0.8 times as likely to test positive for COVID-19 as vaccinated individuals. A number of factors could be contributing to this, including:

- more contacts between individuals who have been vaccinated, including those activities restricted to those with vaccine passports

- higher propensity to get tested among individuals who have been vaccinated

- higher rates of natural immunity among unvaccinated individuals

However, it's clear that vaccine protection against infection at this point is very weak if not non-existant.

Protection against hospitalization is still very strong. Unvaccinated individuals had 10 times the age-adjusted likelihood of being hospitalized with COVID-19 compared to vaccinated individuals over the past month. The protection has been continuously decreasing over time, though. Hospitalizations are currently skyrocketing in Quebec along with cases.

What I’ve been wondering about are the health consequences of the lockdowns, closures, and et cetera on everyone who doesn’t get COVID. Between the government putting everyone under so much stress that many of us have fallen into comfort eating, and breaking up everyone’s’ gym routines with closures and restrictions… for nearly two years now; the “quarantine fifteen” has stopped being a cliche and, in my case at least, become the “quarantine twenty.” And it’s not slovenliness on my part. In that blissful six weeks of normality after June 15th, before Newsom and Breed broke their promises and brought back restrictions to cater to the anti-vaxers, I’d managed to work five of those pounds off. But they’re back now.

I’ve not had COVID, and only even one cold this entire time. But between my scale, body fat meter, blood pressure cuff, sleep tracker, LabCorp, and Apple Watch all feeding their data into HealthKit; I can see and track the decline in my own health starting back at: “Just work from home for three weeks to ‘flatten the curve’”. I’m sure I’ll be able to work the weight back off and get the muscle tone and cardio fitness back… eventually, and only after they knock off the crap end this. But it’s going to be a major PITA. And, more and more every day, it’s pissing me off; at both the anti-vaxer mob dragging this out and our so-called “leaders” who keep kowtowing to them instead of fixing this for the majority of us who’ve done everything right.

And, of course, I’m in a better state than some. I’ve been a fatass before, and worked my way down to my ideal weight, BMI, and 11% body fat. I know from experience that it can be done and how to do it. But I need to be able to hit the gym to do so. And what about the people who don’t have that experience and confidence? What about the people who started out as fatasses before COVID? Even after they do finally do their damn jobs and fix this, the damage from COVID is going to keep going.

Why does everyone think we're at fault for this? We're not the ones telling you you can't do anything. I don't even care if you wear a mask. Stop fucking scapegoating us because you're frustrated. We're all frustrated. If anything, I have more cause to be frustrated because I can't even do some of the shit that the vaccinated can do.

There's no reason at all that you couldn't do pushups, jump rope and eat cabbage at home. Just do it.

The vaccines don't appear to be effective against Omicron - I have never said otherwise - but there is no compelling reason to believe that fully vaccinated people are more likely to catch COVID than non vaccinated people. The implication @JGrimez is (correct me if I'm wrong) that the vaccines actually lower your immunity somehow. Is that what you were saying? I apologize for my tone in the last message. I woke up in the morning and self-moderated some of my posts. Too much beer last night.

From what I understand, they're saying having a cocktail of vaccines including a booster is very effective against Omicron but time will tell. It's too early to say. I suspect that my jabs - Astra, Astra, Pfizer - provide me with a substantial amount of protection. I could be wrong. I like to think they do, because - if they don't - then what's the fucking point? My risk of hospitalization/death is extremely low. My immune system is solid as a rock.

How is this possible ?

It is possible because you (and/or the person you are citing) aren't considering the sort of things @S.J.B. mentioned.

The maths is wrong in the image you posted.

It's too simple. You need to consider other factors.

They've just taken the number 1,300 and the number 2,300 to determine 76%. You need to - at the very least - consider what percentage of the population is vaxxed and factor that in. If 95% of people are vaxxed and there are an extra 50% of cases among the vaccinated, that is wildly disproportionate... and not in your favor.

Vaccines don't make you more likely to get viruses.

Plus its well known that vaccines can acutally have the opposite effect thats the whole point of a negative effiacy. As proven in the case of omricon. vaxed people get infected at a 76% higher rate than non vaxed for omicron.

Our duty is to help them. But if they don'twant help run away from the morons, like Jesus did when he got approached by a crowd that wanted to be healed but had no faith and he new that. Pestering him. But spread light in that dark work. You can it TZ. I try and do my best too. Shine that light and don't get discouraged. That helps you more than them. LIke when you go to high school, you don't change the school you leave with knowedge and change yourself. And I have to say talking kindly to anyone works wonders. Keep your integrity in this world we are passing through. All soul growth.

This could be the wrong thread, should have been in the Bible thread. But there are lessons everywhere take it in, and don't worry about others too much We are passing through this world and it stuns me more people are ignorant than knowldegable. However there are some gems onthis planet. In a way we are all gems.

Because I had Covid early and it was not a bad flu, IMHO and experience. I just didn't bother with a vaccine. Repeated exposure has confirmed to me that my natural immunity is successful and I have zero fear of Covid.

When I see the numbers reporting higher omicron outbreaks in vaccinated people it just shows the original vaccines were simply a miss. The higher numbers are just due to a false sense of safety behind a useless vaccine so the vaccinated are just more careless, using technology to avoid using knowlege understanding and care is a societal short cut.


Our society is in trouble because we are lazy. Taking a vaccine so we don't need to stop and take time out to be sick. Forcing others to use this brand new technology because of fear.

If you pause long enough to think about it, the side forcing others into doing their bidding has never once been right in all history.
 
I have heard a rumour out of taipie, I can't verify it because I don't know how.

I have a lot of in-laws in China and Taiwan and they started photographing the labels on the vials of vaccines (there is a Black market for vaccines in taiwan because china refused to allow anything but theirs). Apparently they have bought vaccines that turned out to be regular flu vaccines. Some paid huge money, I am unsure what 50k taiwan is US but maybe 500ish.

Is there a website for vaccine codes?

I think this is localized to a few isolated contries where profiteering off lies has taken a more direct approach. We might not be getting last years left over flu shots as boosters everywhere.
 
The collective lack of understanding of the psychopathic mind is why we are in this mess and the world is so fucked up, and that's one symptom of a psychopath-controlled education system.
These pathological types easily manipulate people of conscience and rise up the ranks of power. Not only do they desire power and will do abhorrent things to achieve their goals, but they don't feel bad for hurting people and often times actually delight in inflicting cruelty onto others.
So now extrapolate that to a system of government.
Even just the accepted reality of "politicians lie" is a psychopathic trait. But unfortunately it's become so normalized and that's what these types are doing. They're normalizing pathology on a mass scale and attempting to re-create the world into a reality that they desire - which will be even more full of suffering for the rest of us.
However their ultimate downfall is hubris and wishful thinking.

I'm staying in a beachside house with my family this holiday. First time we've all been able to be together for a long time. My daughter had never met her uncle until a week ago because of COVID.

I've had several letters from the NHS, and several text messages, urging me to get this jab. THAT is obsessiveness!

I'm not hesitant about it either. I know I don't want it, and there's nothing that will ever change my conviction on that. There's absolutely no reason for me to take it, so I won't.
