Covid-19 The New Covid Megathread v.Oh-my-cron!

Where are the hundreds of millions of dead people?
Yeah. Funny how these numbers always get bigged up. Reminds me of the Uyghur shit. Every time the topic comes up an extra million is thrown in for good measure seems to me. I'm tellin' ya: this Internet thing needs to be shut down for the greater good. :ROFLMAO: Fuck COVID.

...
either way, vaccination is better than risking death/life changing outcomes from covid, because the risks are much higher from actual covid infections than vaccines. and the more people we have vaccinated, the fewer serious infections we get.

yeah exactly. its a fucking tragedy. people died from smallpox vaccines but i think we're all in agreement that campaign was the right thing to do.

i just don't understand how you look at a risk benefit analysis- deaths from covid vs deaths from the vaccine, ditto serious complications, etc and decide not to get vaccinated. well i do, the same people minimise covid to a huge degree.
@chinup

Probably you are locked into a singular view because you have your beliefs.

Ive had covid 19 and it was mild. Not necessary for me to either concern myself with beyond a regular flu or anything I would ever consider needed a vaccine.

You have an opinion and a right to express it.

I have experience and just sorry you are backing a pony built on lies and duplicity. I would suggest rather then stand in the tiny corner where the "we believers" are all gathered and keep trotting out those platitudes that random chance of death by a vaccine you don't need (speaking of those of us who have had the virus at no peril) is somehow still right to be enforced by law. I still only know 3 dead people from this panic demic and only 1 was covid and that was dubious since it was my father in a senior home where we murdered over 50% of all covid deaths to date in Canada. One was the vaccine and one was because of the regulations.

I Eventually will run out of money, i am being discriminated against by people like you. Trying to force people into believing the lies by depriving us of our ability to engage in economic gain is probably going to result in a lot of revenge motivated crimes in our future as well. Because I'm somewhat intelligent I can see you are just trotting out the party line like a good believer and I'm really unsure how to wake you up.

Having been born into a religious community it becomes easy to see the signs of it in others.

for reasons that i am not prepared to go into covid would very likely put my life in danger. i'm 35 and a productive member of the workforce. if we are going to argue based on anecdotes i'll take mine over yours, given that i have no way to validate your claims, and vice-versa. this is why anecdotes aren't evidence.

most people do fine out of it. some don't. some die.

do you not see by your own use of language that you are not thinking about this clearly and rationally? 'in a senior home where we murdered over 50% of all covid deaths to date' is an extremely strong claim to state without evidence.

i am sorry about your father.

did you read my post? i notice you only quoted the second half, is that because in the first half, i was doing the opposite of what you claim?

can you please explain to me where my error is- regardless of whether immunity acquired by vaccines is worse than immunity acquired by covid infection, is it not better to get a vaccine, given the comparative risks of covid infection vs adverse events from vaccines.

if the immunity conferred by infection is comparable to that conferred by vaccines, and according to my reference it is being treated as such by Switzerland for up to a year after infection, then i agree that it is unfair to people who have been infected to require a vaccine to partake in society.

for people who have not had covid, so have no immunity, it is safer to get vaccinated.

Please stop saying immunity from vaccines.

Please use medically correct language like symptom reduction.

Immunity comes from having the virus.

Please explain again how depriving immune individuals who refuse symptom reducing drugs is the right choice and not a sign of religious belief?

you are wrong. vaccines confer immunity. look it up.

i have literally said that if you have immunity from the virus, then it is not right that you are deprived of your freedom. here:

if the immunity conferred by infection is comparable to that conferred by vaccines, and according to my reference it is being treated as such by Switzerland for up to a year after infection, then i agree that it is unfair to people who have been infected to require a vaccine to partake in society.
you quoted it so i expected you had read it but there it is again just in case..

Where are the hundreds of millions of dead people?
Oh. Sorry. My previous post in which I quoted you was misplaced. That's your extrapolation of that crap. Yeah. I'd like to know myself. Not here because I can tell you that the traffic is sill bad on the roads! :ROFLMAO:

I've got that fucking video playing in the background here. I love the way they don't drill down into those adverse reactions.

Regarding experience vs data reading.

If you sit in isolation from experience and sort data you will believe in the infallibility of your data. This must occur as you are deprived from experience and your only source is data.

When you isolate a scientist into a data only universe you get results like perpetual motion. Where small percentages or variance often overtake the actual calculations, in early computer programming we had to learn to truncate integers or tiny variances would slowly cause huge changes in results. Over time we can measure more acuratly and in many cases outside of science despite better understanding we have not moved our standards of measure to accommodate improved knowledge.

We have made rules about discrediting all the data we dont like during this panic demic, people in the medical profession are seeing only what you want to see, even facebook is editing any other information and claiming it to be wrong based on the simple fact it doesnt fit the narrative.

My experience doesnt fit the narrative either. It flies in the face of your data.

I love how these articles always try to establish how credible the doctors are making these absurd statements.

"He worked for 15 years as a doctor and 10 years in emergency." So what? Some doctors worked for 40 years while literally fucking their infant patients... and there are plenty of doctors who've worked for 25+ years who disagree with this quack.

A medical degree doesn't make me assume he is correct. For all the anti-science talk from the anti-vaxxers, why quote doctors at all? Why trust any doctors if you don't trust most of them? How can you tell who is lying?

Is this guy a virologist? Is he an epidemiologist?
Ha, ha. You left one "qualification" or "prerequisite" out in the above: in order to attain 100% credibility the doctor MUST be Asian.

Apologies other vaccines in the past have confirmed immunity. None of the covid vaccines provide immunity they provide reduces symptoms.

what about the covid vaccines that use well established technologies? if you think the whole virus covid vaccine does not confer immunity then surely you think the whole virus polio vaccine doesn't confer immunity?

i think you have a weird definition of immunity, would you mind stating it so we can make sure we are not talking at crossed purposes?

how, if not an immune reponse, do the covid vaccines reduce symptoms?

You are exactly right what the word immunity means must be the real issue, lets play dictionary definition deflection.

Please feel free to explain in detail how the covid vaccine that you must take every 6 months is actually creating immunity to covid 19?

It is making you immune to something and it is providing some reduced symptoms but your body is not recognizing the two as the same. If it was you may need 2 doses to fully 'trick' the human immune system but they would be in reasonably rapid succession. This would be followed by immunity for an extended period like your lifetime in many cases.

Immunity should mean you cant catch it to the point of re-infecting others. Vaccines are not close to 100%. Not immunity.

Asprin reduces symptoms of headaches. Doesnt make you immune.

it is important to define your terms to ensure you are not talking across purposes. that is why most science, most philosophy, and all maths papers start with defining terms. i did not state that was the real issue, i stated that perhaps our different understanding of the word was causing us to disagree.

immunity arises when antibodies are created against a specific threat. this is what the covid vaccines do and can be validated by serological assays.

Asprin reduces symptoms of headaches. Doesnt make you immune.
no of course it doesn't because asprin doesn't stimulate the immune system into responding and preparing to respond to future similar threats.

Did you even read my post? You sure missed the point.

I give up on you. You are asleep by choice and not my concern. Just remember dont keep using words like immunity when it does not apply.

These current covid vaccines do not provide anywhere close to the natural immunity from having the virus. They simply provide symptom support as the virus still spreads as normal through the vaccinated community with less hospitalizations because of less visible symptoms.

Overtime everyone will have had at least one of the covid variants despite their vaccinated status, most will become immune through this event NOT the vaccine.

The reason we have lower infection rates is because a larger portion of the population have now had the virus and are immune. Some experienced the sickness less because they had taken vaccines that lowered their symptoms and allowed them to become immune to the actual virus.

Fear sells this shit and Dividends are probably huge these days in the Pharma world. Lies for money seems like not even a new idea.

Sorry You don't follow my 3am logic.

The Vaccines reduce visible symptoms of the virus. This reduces hospitalization but not the spread of the virus. The vaccine isnt providing immunity it is reducing symptoms once you catch it and your own immune system is making you immune.

The number of double vaccinated people still being hospitalized is way too high as well. As a shot that helps reduce hospitalization but doesnt create real immunity it is working at nearly 80%. People still get the virus and most dont need hospitalization.

The immunity is still coming from actual contact with the virus not the vaccines that are missing the mark. Is that more clear.

Sorry You don't follow my 3am logic.
Oh no. I do follow. But if you compare those two quotes/two lines of text out of context well then they do look a bit contradictory.

In other words (and short of simply taking the piss): easy to cherry pick stuff and give it a whole new spin.

lol oh boy

Right wing 'news source': check
Right wing ivermectin doctor: check
Right wing host: check

So this is old news that was been out since FEBRUARY of this year. Why isn't this all over CNN?!?! WHY ISN'T THIS ON FOX NEWS?!?!?!

Because it's being grossly misinterpreted.

so... you believe 31% of people who got vaccined either DIED, or had SEVERE reaction that they never recovered from?

well, you know... when I hear something like this, I like to use my eyes and brain. Everyone I know who received multiple vaxx shots is absolutely fine, did not die, did not have ADRs, and are not complaining like a lil bitch. The only people claiming vaxx harmed them are right wing lunatic conspiracy theorists.

these "interpretations" are grossly GROSSLY misunderstood.

ASK YOURSELF... WHY IS THIS NOT ON FOX NEWS?

WHY IS THIS NOT ON FOX NEWS?

Because even Fox fucking News has some semblance of legitimacy and don't run BULLSHIT like this.

As a shot that helps reduce hospitalization but doesnt create real immunity it is working at nearly 80%.
Sounds pretty good to me given that was their aim no? I'm not going to fact check or verify the 80% figure though. I'll take you word for it.

Actually somebody made a point about this somewhere: if you consider the number of people that have gotten this fucking virus even a 10% reduction of hospitalizations is a win given a finite number of resources. We've just had, in the last 24-hours, 13 288 new cases reported. Even at 10% that's a possible saving of 1 328 ICU beds (which I'm pretty sure we don't even have spare right now). Not to mention staff hours and ventilators etc. etc. etc. So obviously at 20% effective in reducing hospitalizations and the rest? We'll take it.

@Foreigner also, this cute little video lists absolutely ZERO sources or references... curious, right? :ROFLMAO: ... doesn't even list the source of the paper they are reading. :poop:

why does it say BREAKING NEWS when this same data has been out for 8 months (they even state this in the first 30 sec). This is NOT the first video I've seen on it. This is news to you?

So we have known 31% of vaccines will end in very serious reactions and death for 8 months now.

Over 200 million people in the US have been vaccinated fully.

So if this guy is correct 62 million Americans have died and/or been disabled by the vaccine.

Care to look outside?... I can seem to find a single one...
