did you read the article? they take that into account to some extent.

I suspect the lockdowns and curfews and mandates have also killed a bunch of people.

of course they have, but the point is that if implemented correctly (and i don't believe they have been) that they save many more lives by not overwhelming health services. even with their bloody poor implementation, i would speculate that they have saved orders of magnitudes more lives than they have cost.
