Covid-19 The New Covid Megathread v.Oh-my-cron!

It's probably old news to everyone else.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla outlined the company would have a new vaccine ready in March capable of better handling new strains, such as Omicron, than its predecessor.
“We know that the two doses of the (existing) vaccine offer very limited protection, if any,” Bourla told Yahoo! News on Jan. 10.
Bourla also stated that a third dose of the current vaccine only offered “reasonable protection against hospitalization and deaths” and had even less effective in stopping its transmission.

Even if I go to get a 2nd injection, it does next to nothing without an additional 3rd dose? The vaccines aren't working, are they? What does it matter if a Tennis player is with or without a mostly ineffective vaccination? If he had received one or two (useless) injections they'd let him in? For the most part, Politicians are the scum of the earth.

It doesn't. What matters is that the rules are the same for celebrities / millionaires and non-celebrities / non-millionaires.

I'm not saying I believe in the rules.

True. I remember when all of Italy was in forced quarantine and you were only allowed out to go to a market to buy food, or go to a hospital or doctor, and travel between provinces was not allowed, yet Lady Gaga traveled to Italy and was traveling like normal.

What has Johnny Depp done? What rule has tennis playing asshole broken? AFAIK he was granted a visa and a court even endorsed the validity of the visa but then the PM went and revoked it? What good are the courts down there if PM can just go and bloody overrule them?

I'm starting to think Botany Bay is not such a jubilant old place after all...

People were talking about "but the rules!!!" right when Djokovic landed, then afterwards nobody said a word about about his visa again because it was actually valid. Everyone seems to have collectively forgotten about this. Doesn't matter if he's "a liar".

So they had to throw him out based on him supposedly being an idol for the oh so dangerous antivaxxers. A purely political decisions to score cheap points with gullible people.
