US Politics The Mueller Investigation - report is out

Not exactly but it sure is a lot better. It was the best thing Obama did IMO and really quite impressive considering how much resistance there has been to the idea within the government and those who line their pockets. It was amazing first step and it really bums me out that the repubs are trying to undo it. It's far from perfect but it can be built on, if it's not dismantled.

So what do you think about Bernie’s wife’s investigation ? You think Bernie didn’t know she was committing fraud ? It’s like it completely disappeared . In my opinion Democrat’s will say anything they need to to get votes when republicans stick more to there word . Almost everything Trump campaigned on he has achieved or tried to achieve .
I don’t personally feel bad for the poor . I have had my ups and downs in life but believe we all have equal opportunity to become wealthy( ofcourse excluding people that are physically or mentally unable to ) so why take from the rich and help the poor?
Some people are born into wealth but plenty are self made that came out the ghetto weather white black or Jewish. Those self made worked hard to get where they are . I’m not sure if you ever read about jack ma founded of alibaba . He couldn’t even get hired at kfc so decided to find his own way. Imagine they hired him there would not be an alibaba today.
I’m sure some minority’s and even non minority’s start as a disadvantage which sux but that’s not a reason not to succeed in life . I just don’t buy into the whole robin hood scene . You do make valid points but Bernie is to socialist and so are majority of the Democratic Party . Wether I had $5 in my pocket or 10,000,000 I will also be a conservative because I know I can always go out and make it . And when I bust my ass for my money I’m sorry but I’m not ok to giving it away to freeloaders . Again that does not include people that are not able to work and I also believe we should take better care of our vets . The socialist are spitting at the vets that keep this country going . That makes me sick.
Vets are scared to walk around with medals and uniform how ridiculous is that . Dems just want votes and will say but not do anything for them .

Okay so you don't want your money going to anyone but yourself, I get that, although then we might as well all just live in our own countries where the borders are our fences because society is about cooperation. What I'm confused about is, why are you okay with your taxes literally being stolen by the rich? You're paying taxes to the government. Is it better that it lines the pockets of the wealthy and corporations instead of going to help keep people healthy (including yourself)? Better that a billionaire makes an extra couple of million this year than some guy who got laid off because the company he worked for went under is able to support his family for a few months while he finds new work? Better that a corporation makes an extra 2% profit this year than our schools actually teaching kids adequately to compete with the rest of the world? Better that oil companies make even more insane amounts of money than environments not being destroyed and drinking water being poisoned?

I get that it's technically true that anyone can become wealthy here, but it's becoming increasingly hard to do so, the middle class is getting squeezed out. And I'm not even trying to blame it on the Republicans, the Dems are sucking the dicks of the wealthy and corporations too, most of them anyway. The best period of time for Americans (white Americans anyway) was the 50s through the 80s. We're on a downward trajectory. And anyway what if someone got in an accident and ended up getting $100,000 in hospital bills, and couldn't work AND owed $100,000? What are the chances they're going to ever be able to make enough money? Really low. If they weren't burdened by what amounts to 4-5 years of salary for a lot of people because one thing happened to them and they went to the hospital, they'd be in a much better position. To characterize the poor as lazy freeloaders is so unfair. Yeah some people are. A whole lot of people born into wealth are lazy freeloaders too. Shit happens to people that is out of their control and part of the entire point of paying taxes and having a society is to provide for people when things are hard so that things can get better again.

I'm not poor, I went to college and got a computer science degree and I own my home and I make a good salary. It's partly because I worked at but it also has a lot to do with luck. I was fortunate that my parents could pay for my education and I didn't end up in debt for 10 years, so as a result I could save money and buy a house. When I see people around me who didn't have that luck and are working 2 jobs at $8 an hour and still broke as fuck and will never be able to own property at that rate, or afford schooling for better jobs, I see that things are very wrong here. They're not lazy freeloaders, our civilization is getting worse and worse for the common man. Now you can work 40, 50 hours a week at minimum wage and still be in poverty. That's just wrong, and it didn't used to be like that. Sure, any individual could come up with a million dollar idea, work hard and make it happen, but there are a whole lot of people at that working poverty line (working full-time but barely getting by or not getting by). Everyone can't do that. Everyone can't be wealthy, society doesn't work that way. So it should be our responsibility to ensure that people who do their part (minimum wage jobs are necessary too) are able to live reasonably comfortable lives.

Oh and Bernie's wife, I don't know, I honestly hadn't heard about that. In any case it has no bearing on the points I'm trying to make.

By the way I hope you don't interpret my tone as angry, I'm just trying to discuss. :)

Just gonna answer the first part cuz o didn’t read everything . I’ll follow up after I read it . But no I don’t believe I should keep all the money I work hard for . That’s what taxes are for . Isn’t that the point of having two parties ? . One prefers to spend money in certain places and vice versa . I’m all for philanthropy but I rather choose where my money goes to help people rather then let a liberal socialist make me busy my ass just to give to the lazy.

Very hard to offend me . I love to debate just wish I wasn’t dyslexic and had better grammar ?

reminder that this is the Mueller Investigation thread. stop getting off topic

as an observation, its always trump supporters that derail every single thread that ever discusses the bad things trump does and has done, every single time, for years now. knock that shit off or ima start deleting off topic posts

Please discuss other candidates in this thread:

The Trump thread is here:

Thanks.

My apologies . In my observation almost every thread in every forum on BL with many replies gets derailed at some point . Got the point tho

The report has dropped his approval rating to 37%... rightly so. It tells quite a tale. Essentially the conclusion is that he can't be exonerated of obstruction of justice, and there really was substantial Russian meddling as well as various meetings with Trump's administration. There are a variety of places where it basically says that the only reason a crime wasn't committed was because of ineptitude and/or Trump administration members outright refusing to follow his commands because they were illegal. If the only reason you didn't break the law is because the people you told to do it for you refused to do it... well, you tell me how that makes you feel about your president.

It's crazy how much was redacted, yet still it paints a damning picture. The victory laps he and his fans were doing were WAY premature. I challenge someone to read through that report and figure out how to justify his behavior.

I've been reading it bit by bit and I also watched some videos highlighting various parts. Because that thing is LONG.

Marco Rubio: Russian hackers had opportunity to change Florida voter roll data

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) responded on Friday to the Mueller report's stance that Russia successfully accessed the computer systems of at least 1 Florida county government and planted malware in an election equipment manufacturer's systems, the New York Times reports.

What's new: Rubio told the NYT that Russian hackers "were 'in a position' to change voter roll data," in addition to being able to access the Florida voting system, but he doesn't believe they acted on that access.

The big question: Mueller's report, which only included a single sentence on the issue and left further investigations to Homeland Security and the FBI, did not find evidence that these breaches compromised election results in Florida.

The bottom line: Rubio told the NYT that the target or targets of Russia's hacking in Florida were never notified. The FBI warned "all Florida elections supervisors of a cyber threat 2 months before the 2016 election" via conference call, according to the Times, but officials did not say if the FBI told "elections supervisors from the county that had been hacked about the breach."

Go deeper: Rod Rosenstein: Russian hacking was "only the tip of the iceberg"

The ripples of the Mueller report are becoming more pronounced.

This news is disturbing.

It appears jgrimez was correct in his predictions.
Thank you Penf0ld, it does appear that way. And anyone that was even the least bit surprised by this outcome, and especially the people still hanging onto the lies, should really be asking me - how did I know on DAY 1, as soon as these accusations were announced by the media, how did I instantly know that they were BS?

I think any ambulance chaser could uncover evidence of Trump's crimes. He isn't subtle; he's just not accustomed to accountability. Yet.
Whatever happened to Avenatti, the guy that the liberal media were knighting as the one to take down Trump?

the report basically seems to confirm everything we all already knew but couldn't necessarily prove,
That's not what people were saying before. I was told there would be evidence of crimes.

Overall, I don't trust Attorney General Barr after his recent performances, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt based on his experience, etc.

i think we can finally put this "he's a real straight shooter" bullshit to bed...
He's more of a straight shooter than anyone who has said over the past 2 years that he was colluding with Russians to influence the election.

I hate trump, but if the mueller report exonerates him I'd consider that money well spent to get that answer just as much as if it didn't. It still resulted in several prosecutions of people who otherwise might have gotten away with their crimes.
What? How many millions of dollars spent, for what? To stall for time and ruin the credibility of every government official involved that constantly lied through their teeth, plus all the mainstream media pundits that were further exposed as frauds, this time even more blatantly? Adam Schiff said he had evidence!

However the report outlines some highly sketchy behavior that, to me, appears to be obstruction of justice.
Well you can't obstruct justice to cover up a crime that doesn't exist. The initial accusations were a lie, and you'll still accuse Trump of obstructing justice? This in no way makes sense but is a Mueller report Hail Mary. No dice.

My guess is, when his presidency is over, he'll truly be fucked as he'll be indicted. It seems likely they won't try to do it while he's the sitting president; not only is there some question over whether a sitting president can be indicted, it would be highly disruptive and would further outrage a lot of people who still, somehow, support him.
Bad guess. It's based on pure speculation and zero evidence + media lies. If they found any of evidence of something even remotely serious, they would attempt to remove him as soon as possible.

I expected him to lose to. In hindsight I see now that I overestimated the voting American public. Probably one of the biggest political miscalculations I've ever made.
Seems like you understimated the amount of dirt that was already out there on his opponent. Having evidence of serious felonies bordering on treason by a candidate (Clinton in this case) is going to understandably hurt their chances.

Do you believe all leaders are equally corrupt?
No, Hillary Clinton is objectively and provably more corrupt than Donald Trump. Many people were aware of this in 2016 that's one of the reasons why Trump won.

I foolishly thought more people would care about his sexism and sexual assault than actually did. And I naively thought more people would be put off by his narcissistic delusional egomania. Big mistake on my part.
Studies show that women prefer benevolently sexist men. There was no sexual assault. All politicians are major narcissists that tell occasional (or very frequent) lies.

I really hope he isn't voted in again though. If he were to be, then I would hope that something would be done
He probably will win again and many are worried that people share your sentiments and it will kick off a civil war.

The only reason anyone like him is because hes openly racist. And most ppl are racist.
This is demonstably false. He hasn't said or done anything racist. His policies so far have helped minorites (prison reform + minority pensioner funding, low minority unemployment). He received more minority votes than the previous GOP candidate and his support among minority voters is rising. You should have dropped the racist trope by now.

Don’t forget trump has power but he doesn’t control America that’s what we have <the Israeli lobby> for
Fixed.

Jgrimez, I know we've never met before my man and this is, well, regrettable on my part. I really wasn't aware that we had such a knowledgeable and astute Truth-Seeker in our midst.
Yes good that you know, recently vindicated.

I am so sick of people making this ridiculous assumption that a lifetime FBI agent would be somehow more scrupulous than a businessman who inherited all of his wealth from his Father.
That was a vague assumption devoid of context, and those people were believing the fake news.

All of this talk of the President of our country being an agent in the employ of the Russian Intelligence Services? Evidence, shmevidence.
I would actually burst out laughing at times due to how ridiculous this accusation was and how certain people were that believed it - and of course the lack of evidence that bolstered their certainty.

In all seriousness your verbatim quote "Because I'm smart and don't believe the fake news" had me laughing so hard that I had tears running down my eyes and my roommate came to check if I was okay once I started bashing my head on the desk in a futile attempt to end my own laughter.
Had to say it... who's laughing now? :D

I think in the meantime you need to practice your researching abilities.
*still laughing*

So a trump supporter but a racist? Interesting .
Not that I care but how can you be a trump supporter and say “Israeli lobby” controls the US . Kinda contradicting don’t you think .

Every time I try to stop posting in these threads I get sucked in by a stupid comment like that. Just makes no sense . If you thought your president is so easily controlled how can you be for him and even if your not cuz I didn’t bother to read your whole post how can you not be against him .
Unless I completely misunderstood what you were saying which is very possible then I’m confused .
I swear last post I make here !

Achi, I'm a half-Israeli Jew, i just tell the truth.
Zionism is not a race.

You mean “self hating Jew”
Fixed!
Damn it I didn’t keep my swear . Funny you can use the word achi and speak the way you do. And I am trying to stay on topic z again I did non read the muller report but does Israel show up anywhere in the report?

I’m assuming not or else CNN the NYT and every other anti Israel media station would be running it 24/7 . Not sure what your problem is with Israel but it makes me proud that you think the Israeli lobby runs America and apparently the world yet we are only 20 and change million in the whole world . So thank you for the compliment .
Obviously I do not agree with this idealization.

OK sorry for ignoring most of your post here, I just woke up, but first of all...

Hey Grimez, where ya been? You've been gone for a while.

But second one part of your post I felt I had to reply too immediately.

Well you can't obstruct justice to cover up a crime that doesn't exist

That's entirely untrue. You absolutely can commit the crime of obstruction of justice even if the crime being investigated never happened. The crime of obstruction is for deliberately hindering an investigation in an unlawful way. That the investigation would have exonerated you is irrelivent. That's still a separate offense under the law.

I'll see about commenting on more of your post later on today, but that part was just so directly untrue I just had to say something.

Oh and welcome back. :)

Thanks.

I guess what I meant was in the context of this being a legitimate and fair investigation. People aren't really hiding the fact anymore that the goal here is to remove Trump, by any and all means necessary. Even if he didn't commit a crime, and crimes were committed by others to spearhead this investigation, they want to get Trump on "obstructing" an unlawful "investigation". I'd like to know what the alleged evidence of obstruction is also.

All I'm gonna say is, I've read half of the Mueller report (I plan to finish but it's very long and very dry) and I do not feel like my negative feelings towards Trump are dashed. In fact I find the conduct of his administration are rather appalling, based on the report. You're acting like everyone with concerns about Trump should be ashamedly apologizing to you right now. Okay, so we can say he didn't collude with Russia, officially. But the report still outlines a shocking amount of misconduct/corruption, or in some cases, attempts at it which were refused by Trump's people (quit rather than follow his orders). And half the damn thing is redacted, so... I really don't see how you can see this as vindication for your support of the guy, unless you just listened to the rhetoric you wanted to hear and didn't read it.

The mueller report is full of evidence of obstruction... Have you read it yet?

If the president obstructs an investigation into him, any president, regardless of the motive of the investigation and regardless of his innocence of the suspected crime being investigated, then he should be removed. Wouldn't you agree?

Imagine if it were Hillary Clinton as president and she obstructed investigation into her crimes, regardless of the motive, if the obstruction were proven, wouldn't you want her removed? I sure would.

You're acting like everyone with concerns about Trump should be ashamedly apologizing to you right now.
No I stated very clearly that people should be wondering and asking how did I know from the beginning? And why was I kicking up such a big stink about the the origins of this investigation.
Trump was finally cleared, so do we now care about the crimes committed (plus actual foreign collusion) to launch this attack against a presidential candidate?

The people who compiled this report are dodgy criminals. The only part that really matters to me is no further indictments, no evidence of collusion, conspiracy or obstruction. I'd rather read the Uranium One investigation report or the Christopher Steele dossier investigation report.
