The Last Covid-19 Megathread v. Hopefully...

Sad to say, but the way the vaccine and paxlovid push is going in today's world, it has become obvious it's pretty much a money grab. It's useless against omicron, or so ineffective as to essentially be useless. But they made a shit ton and they have to sell it, so they're pushing it. I've had 3... won't be getting another, that's for sure. There is so much stuff you can see now, it's kinda hard not to think it's having profoundly negative effects on some people. case in point, the woman in the video shared above. I never thought I'd be saying this, but here it is.

“Aye!!! What’s in the shot bitch?!”
Can you imagine if the dice man came out today, he would probably be in jail

Yeah he wouldn't work in today's climate.

Hmm, that seems a bit suspect. I mean clearly some people have been damaged by the vaccine, but I don't know a single person, out of a LOT of people, who sought medical attention or felt they needed to, from the vaccine. I had one coworker miss a day of work because of feeling crappy. Maybe the people I know are just lucky?

Hundreds of thousands of Americans sought medical care after getting a COVID-19 vaccine, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data released on Oct. 3.

Some 782,900 people reported seeking medical attention, emergency room care and/or hospitalization following COVID-19 vaccination.

Another 2.5 million people reported needing to miss school, work or other normal activities as a result of a health event after getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

The reports were made to the CDC’s V-safe program, a new vaccine safety monitoring system to which users can report issues through smartphones.

The CDC released the data to the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) after being sued over not producing the data when asked by the nonprofit.

About 10 million people utilized V-safe during the period of time the data covers: Dec. 14, 2020, to July 31, 2022. About 231 million Americans received at least one vaccine doses during that time.

The V-safe users reported about 71 million symptoms.

The most commonly reported symptoms were chills (3.5 million), swelling (3.6 million), joint pain (4 million), muscle or body aches (7.8 million), headache (9.7 million), fatigue (12.7 million) and general pain (19.5 million).

About 4.2 million of the symptoms were of severe severity.

Users of V-safe filled in data for about 13,000 infants younger than two, reporting over 33,000 symptoms, including pain, loss of appetite and irritability.

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury didn't know what atrial fibrillation was until he was told about Watt's condition. Kingsbury said Sunday that Cardinals tight ends coach Steve Heiden had atrial fibrillation a couple times and explained it to Kingsbury.

"Just a scary deal for everybody," Kingsbury said. "But I'm glad it got figured out. He seems better than ever."

Watt said his heart was beating "weird" on Wednesday, which led to him getting it checked out and being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. On Thursday, he had a procedure to shock his heart back into rhythm. He was back at practice Friday.

Watt said he has never been scared or nervous in the past by his numerous injuries or surgeries, the pain that came with them or the anesthesia that he has received. However, when he was told he'd have to be put under on Thursday to have his heart reset, Watt was scared.

"I'm glad I'm here today," he said.

Watt said he has asked "why?" quite a bit, but doctors didn't have the answer. Once Watt was told it was safe for him to play, he knew what he was going to do.

I don't really consider any of those symptoms particularly worrisome... I mean I had all of those symptoms from covid, plus a fever (the first time I had it anyway). Heart problems, that's a different story. That's the sort of symptom I'm worried about.

As far as missing work, I've had coworkers miss work from the flu shot because they felt crappy. And let's face it, some people like to miss work given any sort of opportunity.

I don't think we should be pushing this vaccine on people and I think it's a bad idea to be vaccinating children, and I fail to see the point of the vaccine given it doesn't work against omicron. And I am prepared to believe that the vaccine is more dangerous than they're saying it is, and that big pharma is pushing it still because they're trying to maximize their profits. But I am also interested in not misrepresenting something as worse than it is.

I also have a hard time trusting the self-reporting through smartphone of vaccine side effects, when half the population is convinced there is a conspiracy. How do we know how many of those people are lying in order to boost the perceived number of instances of side effects? Because you know full well some people are doing that.

that’s a solid point, but tbh I don’t think false reporting happens that much, and I would think there is more misreported/nonreported issues than false ones

I've been enjoying the hell out of basically pretending that covid doesn't exist anymore, and not wearing masks or hearing constantly about vaccines or any of that crap. It's been great.

I'm just over it. The whole thing.
This was me by summer 2020. Though being forced to live through a collective cultural momentum (or delusion, depending on your perspective) for a further 18 months was fucking irritating. Like being held back in kindergarten when you should be completing your dissertation at university.

It would be funny if it hadn't added yet another layer of totally unpayable debt to everyone and their children's children, and further accelerated the power of censorship and global totalitarianism that began in earnest after 9/11.

Can't wait for the climate lockdowns. Maybe you can all wear masks again, to prevent the spread of C02.

Don't worry, we'll just saddle our children's children's children with it

🤪

They'll definitely gonna have to find some new premise to build the Fourth Reich that covid was supposed to enact, as nobody gives two shits about it anymore, at least not where I live
