Please use this thread for all discussion of:

covid-19
variants
vaccines
mandates
etc.

Over two years after the start of the pandemic, as of February 2022, it seems as though the world is slowly and cautiously beginning to go back to normal. Despite the fact that thousands of people are still getting infected and dying from the virus.

I like it. One thread for everything COVID related. It'll have to be checked in on fairly frequently.

Serious question:

Republican voters... you claim to hate big pharma but your politicians are overwhelmingly voting NO to keep insulin prices at insane levels... why?

Your politicians are in bed with pharma companies and trying to give them profits

why???
"The bill does nothing to actually stop price gauging and bring the price of insulin under control. It simply limits the monthly copay insurance companies can ask for. This means that the act has virtually no impact on the price of the drug for uninsured or underinsured patients (who, for instance, have insurance only for medical emergencies). Further, by forcing insurance companies to potentially pay a higher share of the drug, it could lead to higher premiums."

sounds like some offhand twitter comment making armchair conclusions ($100 says I'm right)

insurance company propaganda making you think that lower insulin prices will somehow impact YOU in a major way... bullshit fucking bullshit man

"I hate big pharma they are trying to poison us with vaccines... but wow these taxes on big pharma will impact my taxes by a few %... scary" hypocritical rhetoric

@Negentropic ... this is a fair question, but please keep the discussion in this thread centered around covid. If you want to create a new thread about big pharma and drug prices, please do.

"The last"?

Lol, Mal, we gonna need an extra alphabet before this thing has really run it's course.

I'd like that too, a relative termination.

What % do we believe of "Covid" is behind us?

It has appeared, been presented, regardinged accepted as the most part by a way.

I disagree. I'm not into fear promotion but I aim to be realistic.

I believe the beast has actually only reared it's ugly head yet.

All of Shanghai is in Covid lockdown. 26 million people. What do they know about Covid that we don't? Or is it just an authoritarian government?
