i think a lot are from Belgium iirc, not being racist or anything, but those are off stats with highest KNOWN recorded. could be complete wrong. doesn't even matter. you can't blame the action of 100 to 1000 persons for a whole country. as pointed out before those that join Isis are rogues

When they return back to Europe and America they will not be peaceful citizens. They will likely continue the bloodshed over here. We can only pray they never come back. Of course if you revoke someone's citizenship people like Paranoid Android throw fits so I'm not sure what to do.

My point as I stated before was it doesn't sense to come America or Europe for better life to escape war, then rush out of the country to join the war in Syria. In a way this war is great for the Western World, it gets all the crazies from our countries flying over to Syria to be target practice for Assad's snipers. The problem arises if they come back alive.

That helped certainly but it wasn't what turned the tide so to speak. ISIS started going on the run when the Peshmerga finally got on the front lines with the YPG. Before that you had not only the PKK affiliated fighters essentially on their own with little more then assault rifles and sniper rifles but you had the Turkish government also bombing the YPG front lines. Turkey has stopped supporting ISIS as much as they did and have stopped bombing the PKK so that's a good thing for the Kurdish fighters.

A fair number of Canadians seem to be going over to help the Kurds fight ISIS. The people they are most looking for are those with military experience. It's a noble enough fight as the last thing the world needs right now is a Islamic state that's a throwback to the Ottoman Empire essentially. Only worse in their own way i guess.

As for any westerners going off to fight with ISIS i honestly have very little sympathy for them. They remind me of people who join Fascist groups as they fit the same profile which is alienated from society, feel that there life has no purpose and are naive and ignorant as fuck. Noone who can employ critical thinking would ever join ISIS. Also i don't think any westerners going off to fight for ISIS should be allowed to come back. The last thing we need are even more religious nutters because we have enough here as is.

Sorry for any ambiguity but I don't have a problem with anyone going there to fight ISIS (whether it be via Kurdish troops or Assad's).

We had the Chechen Russian's here that blew up the Boston Marathon, they came as refugees and recieved hundred thousand in benefits and rewarded America's generosity with bloodshed of innocent citizens.

Well you should know that every American man over in a certain age bracket is eligible for the draft, he and many other Muslims invoked their religion as an excuse to not fight. By this metric, he's essentially saying he cannot fulfill his duty as an American because of his beliefs.

Yup and about half their weapons came from America as well. If you look at videos of the Provos 70's era on you won't see them holding Ak's nearly as much as you will see them holding Armalites especially AR-18's. In turn the Provos passed on weapons and training to groups like the PLO, ANC, the ETA and in the latter years the FARC. But that was after peace broke out so i guess a few mercs decided to make some money training the Farc. So yes white people can be labeled as terrorist too no matter how noble their cause.

The distinction has been made earlier in this thread..the IRA is in no way analogous to ISIS. For one I don't recall the IRA ever threatening America, having in all their years of operation a body count on par with a week of ISIS activity and focusing on military targets more often than civilians as ISIS often engages in wanton killing.
