Election 2020 The Final Countdown v. Nov. 3rd

"People dancing about really doesn't do a lot for the unemployed in the US." I'm just starting to see just how divided the US is. I mean I thought Pelosi was bad enough, but people forget that the Dems could have passed a stimulus bill for the good of the country but they didn't. And now they want the presidency. Well, I'm guessing they will get it in January, but what they are going to get ....who knows.

They did..... The Democrat controlled house passed a stimulus bill, which died in the Republican controlled Senate and then Donald Trump refused to do anything stimulus related until after he was "reelected"..... So yeah..... there's that.

Meanwhile in America.... Trump was on the golf course for the 3rd day in a row. I wonder what he's shooting these days?

I hate to give Trump any credit, but Trump has actually been pushing for a larger stimulus bill.

The blame for the stimulus bill lies solely with Republican senators, from my point of view.

McConnel literally reiterated to the press he's not changing his stance the day after he was projected to win.

Trump was actually trying to ensure the bill got the money to the people and not the corrupted places which were just going to steal all the money and give very little to the people. another democrat aim at trying to enrich themselves.

Why are their so many foreign, rabid Trump supporters? Just a question.... It is very strange. They all seem to think they know so much more about what is politically going on in our country.

More than half of the dedicated Trump posters in this thread don't even live in America....

because its important who is running america when china is the new nazi germany. I want a leader who takes it to china and doesn't empower then like obama and biden. Trump fits the perfectly for getting america powerful enough to destory china if it came down to it.

Fair enough

I don't know. But it doesn't matter. Cause if you're going to suggest they shouldn't get an opinion for this reason I for one will loudly disagree.

I can't agree with it cause I'm a dual citizen of Australia and the US, and for most of my life there have been people who've used that to justify saying I shouldn't get to voice opinions about politics in EITHER country.

It's an excuse. Way I see it you're entitled to an opinion regardless of where you live, your citizenships, or anything else.

Alas that includes the Trump fanatics too.

Besides, I don't live in, have ever lived in, or have any citizenship in the UK, and I don't intend to stop saying that brexit was stupid. :D

No... I'm not implying they shouldn't have an opinion. By all means.... Opinions don't bother me. I just find their intentions suspect.

Trump can’t win Pennsylvania now with the number of votes being contested in the state.
Trump campaign pares back federal suit over Pennsylvania election results - POLITICO

The legal move appears to narrow the number of votes at stake in the federal suit to a few thousand or less. Officials in one suburban Philadelphia county, Montgomery, said at a court hearing earlier this month that they believe about 93 ballots were “cured.”

With President-elect Joe Biden nearly 69,000 votes ahead of Trump in the Keystone State, the number of cured ballots seems likely to be too small to matter. However, the revised version of the Trump campaign’s federal court suit continues to ask for a court order barring Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar from certifying the statewide election results for president.

The Trump campaign is continuing to press its legal claims about the poll-watching issues in state court. Trump had some success on that front, winning an order in Pennsylvania that allowed some observers to get closer to the ballots as they were being counted. The city of Philadelphia has appealed that order to the state Supreme Court.

Joe Biden says he wants to overhaul the nation's response to the coronavirus pandemic. Step one: Get the nation to mask up. Easy, right? Not when a bloc of GOP governors remain opposed to the idea.
U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Brann has set oral arguments on the federal case for Tuesday and an evidentiary hearing for Thursday, but lawyers for the state said in a court filing Saturday afternoon that the narrowing of the suit leaves the case so flimsy that those court sessions don’t seem necessary.

“The extant state law issues still should be resolved by Pennsylvania state courts,” lawyers from Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s office and the law firm Kirkland & Ellis argued on behalf of Boockvar. “Although the Secretary does not believe that oral argument is necessary to dispense with Plaintiff’s allegations and claims, counsel for the Secretary will appear and be prepared for argument as scheduled for Tuesday … if the Court still intends to hear argument.”

because it's like a TV show to them. They pick the character they want to root for. They don't actually have to live with it.

And foreigners wonder why us Americans are so centered around America.

Foreigners don't realize they are part of the problem by feeding us the same regurgitated shit.

When will I stop being surprised?
Trump fires head of U.S. election cybersecurity who debunked conspiracy theories
CISA Director Christopher Krebs had recently butted heads with the White House over his agency's Rumor Control blog, which rebuts false claims of election fraud and hacking.

Christopher Krebs, who led the federal government's election cybersecurity efforts, has been fired by President Donald Trump.

Krebs, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, or CISA, had recently butted heads with the White House over his agency's Rumor Control blog, which rebuts a list of false claims of election fraud and hacking — many of which have been touted as real by Trump or his lawyers after he lost the election this month.

Trump on Tuesday night tweeted that Krebs had put out a statement concerning the election that was "highly inaccurate," an apparent reference to a joint statement Thursday from CISA, the Election Assistance Commission and groups that represent the chief election officers in every state. The statement read in part: "There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised."

Trump has said repeatedly that the election was rigged, though no evidence has substantiated that claim and numerous state and federal agencies have said the election was legitimate.

Krebs has been one of the most vocal government officials debunking baseless claims about election manipulation, particularly addressing a conspiracy theory centered on Dominion Voting Systems machines that the president has pushed.

In a subsequent tweet, Trump maintained that the election did not suffer from foreign interference but again referenced Dominion Voting Systems.

Shortly after Trump's announcement, Krebs tweeted: "Honored to serve. We did it right."

Trump appointed Krebs, a former policy director at Microsoft, director of what is now CISA in 2017, in the wake of Russia's 2016 election interference campaign and the outgoing Obama administration declaring that elections systems would become critical infrastructure.

While the agency provides security assistance to a number of industries, like manufacturing and the energy grid, Krebs had become the face of the government's election cybersecurity efforts, which included wrangling together both the heads of elections from all 50 states and the broader hacker community.

Both groups are historically skeptical of the federal government, but under Krebs's direction, CISA has been able to make inroads with both. He became a fixture at the country's major cybersecurity conferences and convinced highly regarded hackers to join CISA.

He also won over state election officials from both parties, hosting national joint election security walkthroughs and convincing every state to install cyber threat information-sharing sensors. Noting that some states were unable to receive intelligence briefings in 2016 because some information about Russia's activities was classified, CISA oversaw an initiative to get at least one person with a security clearance in each state.

One senior official at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency called Krebs' firing "a sad day" for the agency and said that he had resisted calls to echo misleading claims.

"Chris didn't compromise himself or this mission," the senior official said.

Earlier on Tuesday, CISA announced Krebs would be speaking for the agency at two livestreamed talks held by third parties.

NZ politics are irrelevant to you guys. That makes sense... But your politics aren't irrelevant to the rest of the world. Without the US to protect us, we'd all be screwed. Who is running the biggest economy in the world is important. Everybody has to "live with it" to one extent or another... and Biden scares me. Whereas Trump doesn't. It's not just a TV show. I see him as a threat in the same way I assume you see the Donald as a threat. Don't have to live there to have an opinion. But yeah it is definitely also a TV show and I'm not sure there will ever be a season as entertaining as the Trump era. A lot of non-Americans will lose interest in January. I know I will. The Biden administration will be one of the worst seasons ever. He's boring. Just look at how much you're all still talking about Trump compared to the measly traffic on the President Elect Biden thread. You guys don't realize it yet, but I think you're going to miss the T man. Everybody loves a villain. Watching Biden talk is like visiting your grandparents in a retirement village.

I rest my case.

Like I said it's a TV show and it isn't. It's entertaining and it's important at the same time. It's not just a TV show for the rest of the world. US politics are important. More important to the western world than any other country. If that was your case, then we agree. Court adjourned.

I would much prefer 4 years of Biden being a boring, milquetoast president who is only in the news for silly human-interest stories like kindergarten classes visiting and the antics of his pet dog or whatever, to the maelstrom of emotionally charged attacks, blunders, and tantrums that constituted the last 4 years.

Also, regarding Hunter Biden's so-called laptop, there's a whole bunch of fishy smells coming off that story. Despite the fact Hunter Biden lives in California, he went across the country to some no name computer repair shop, left his laptops there, conveniently forgot to provide any sort of contact information, also the shop owner is apparently legally blind & there is somehow no security camera footage so there's no proof it was actually Hunter Biden at all beyond a signature and the stickers on the laptops. Also the laptop had a super weak password and no encryption at all, yet allegedly contained videos of Hunter raping young Chinese girls and other incriminating shit. Also, there's a photo of him passed out in bed with a meth pipe perched on his lips - must be that special sedative meth. When the conveniently Republican-aligned shop owner found this stuff (while violating your customer's privacy for no reason other than being a looky-loo, as all good computer repair shops do - and not in such a way that ensures no changes were made) contacted Rudy Guliani before any sort of law enforcement, as you do.

Yeah, seems legit.
