It wasn’t supposed to happen, and it shocked everyone. I am sure they have special provisions in place this time. Ultimately I’m satisfied since he saved the scotus for at least a generation. Well unless the establishment decides to pack the courts to push their policy preferences via judicial activism. I would be so much better with a Biden win if I didn’t think they would pack the courts, undo the favored nations pharma EO, and immediately get into a major military conflict. I really really hate war tbh
 
Droppers if I say something offensive, try not to take it too personally. I'm just kinda on edge right now.

You might be afraid of "the establishment" stealing the election from trump. I'm afraid that this represents the beginning of the end of western democratic values and the rise of a new nationalist political force confirming that we've forgotten everything we learned from world War 2.

So no matter what the truth is this feels high stakes for me too.

Assaults women. Cheats on taxes. And made light of, therefore downplaying the seriousness of the virus. Killed a lot of people by doing so. Yet fails to accept responsibility or admit wrongs at any level. Does anyone honestly think he doesnt have an abortion or ten to his credit? As to the guns issue, just who would physically go door to door and take our guns? Military troops, whose fathers fathers have defended our rights to bear arms? Come on now!
My biggest issue has always been his greed. I’ll bet if any of you were handed a billion dollars tomorrow, plans would be to distribute at least some to the greater good or less fortunate. When he first mentioned running, that was the ONLY thing that made him a consideration to me, that he’d be above the greed. WRONG!
Democrats lost because didn’t have a strong enough candidate. Obama would have eaten him alive. As would have Clinton. We’re fucked

there is simply no legal basis or mechanism by which he can do this.

you don’t get to just discard the votes of u.s. citizens because you like how the numbers look right now.

The orange tyrant just falsely claimed victory and said he plans to get the SCOTUS to force the continued counting all remaining ballots. On one hand I'm surprised it took him this long, but on the other it is such utter legal bullshit that I can't believe even he has the gall to try it.

I just realized that a lot of Trump supporters are likely neurotic or mentally ill themselves, so when Trump says ridiculous things they automatically agree with it because it aligns with their fucked up view of life and way of thinking.
 
Trump sees himself as a dictator. That has been abundantly clear for a long time now.

And shit like this is why I so feared his reelection, because it makes me honestly fear that the only way we'll get rid of him is him dying. And by then how much of the country will be still functioning?

Trump voter types love to talk about the constitution and their right to bare arms and the founders.

You honestly gonna tell me the founders envisioned a president trying to just throw out all votes after he appears to be ahead?

I don't say this lightly. But the people who support this shit are traitors. Perhaps not in the legal constitutional sense of the word, but the English sense of the word.
 
If they cared about government tyranny they wouldn't be supporting a president who so blatantly tries to disenfranchise people unlikely to vote for him.

They wouldn't support a president that "jokes" about ignoring term limits. Or talks about locking up his political opponents, or uses his office to pressure foreign governments to attack his political opponents.

They wouldn't vote for a president that encourages his followers to engage in voter intimidation.

It has NOTHING to do with tyranny. They WANT tyranny. They just want it working for them. Because they're hypocrites and frauds.

By nominating creepy Joe and the swamp monster Kamala the DNC good as threw an election that should have been in the bag. Right now a Dem should have been looking getting new drapes for the WH, instead it goes down to the wire.

People who identify as Dems probably need to ask WTF the party was doing. The party is swamp and blob, swamp and blob wanted Joe and Kamala. Nominating Biden is an insult to the intellegence even of Boobus americanus.

The world keeps on spinning, don't worry, be happy, Biden or Trump will be gone gone in 4 anyway.

Unless it's cause trump dies. I'm not confident of that at all. Trump has zero respect for democracy or the constitutional system of American government.

I have no doubt that if he can find a way to stay in office beyond the term limit that he'd go for it.

Trump if he gets in for another term will leave at the end of it. Whether there is still a United States of America at that point is a completely different question.

The extreme polarization of US political thought has meant that the coastal and metropolitan elites in their bubbles can't understand the thinking in the hinterlands, likewise the hinterlands think the coastal elite are using their advantages to screw them over (probably they are!)

To blame Trump as personification of this, as a golem to rail at is pointless. Trump is a symptom of something larger not the cause. Until you can see things from alternative viewpoints, walk a mile in someone elses shoes, you will constantly be surprised and disappointed. I keep hearing people say Trump voters are dumb, I guess their position is I am not dumb because I don't vote Trump therefore people who do must be dumb?

If the Dems had run Bernie and Gabbard, Gabbard would have picked up a lot of the hinterland Trump supporters, Bernie would have picked up the metropolitans and the Dem base would have gone and hustled, game over for Trump who has never had an overall approval rating of over 50%. The Dems wouldn't do this because the DNC answers to their coroporate sponsors, to their billionaire donors, not to the base. They arrogantly assume that the base will support whatever shit is presented to them, maybe they will begrudgingly, but they ain't going to hustle to convince, and preaching to the choir is not going to work here. You don't need to convince the converted, you need to convince the unconverted heathens..

See ya'all in another 4 years for another game of which face of the Uniparty gets to pull the levers. Whether Biden or Trump or Harris or Pence are sitting in the Oval office it makes no real difference, they are all swamp creatures and they have a different set of priorities to the people of the USA.
