Election 2020 The Final Countdown v. Nov. 3rd

his tax cuts were for people who didn't need them. The upper middle class and ultra rich. Look it up.

deregulation

yeah, just what we need, for giant companies to be able to ass rape us easier and more frequently.

You guys think that right wingers are going to stand behind him after that?

lol yes. Have you been paying attention the last four years? They'll stand by him no matter what. It's a cult.

but now it's over and it's better to get used to it.

Trump as an elected official will be over soon but he will continue to be involved in politics for a while. I suspect he will pretend like he's running in 2024 for a while, and when he sees his numbers aren't that great he will say everything's still rigged and not do it. The Republicans running in 2024 will be interesting to see.

American conservatism has to return to it's roots now, unless these guys find new Ronald Reagan.

Ronald Reagan huh? You mean the guy who passed (at that time) the largest EVER tax increase in the state of California? The guy who raised taxes as President in 7 of his 8 years? The guy who tripled the federal budget deficit? Who saw unemployment numbers rise to nearly 11%? Who expanded the size of government by bailing out social security and creating the Department of Veterans Affairs? The guy who as governor signed a bill that liberalized California's abortion laws? The guy who granted amnesty to 3 million undocumented immigrants? Who secretly and illegally sold weapons to Iran? Who trained and armed militants in Afghanistan which lead to the creation of the Taliban?

THAT'S the guy you want back ?

He gave tax cuts to everyone, but yes - he gave most to the top.
How have giant companies raped you? You should maybe understand one thing. Regulations hurt most the small businesses, not the big businesses. Wonder why Jeff Bezos is lobbying for 15 dollar minimal wage? Because of he cares about his workers?
Even Mike Pompeo recently endorsed Biden and Harris, so yes - republicans have gotten what they wanted out of Trump. They have no use for him anymore and standing behind him is only going to cause more division.
What I meant by Ronald Reagan, was that he was very charismatic speaker who everybody liked. His opponent had no chance.
The republicans got him in and then started pushing their policies. He was just the front, but he wasn't the one in charge. he himself said that his days went something like "I got a paper given to me where it said where I have to be at which time and that's it."
American right has couple of options. Populism. which has been already tried in form of Trump. Worked for a while. Traditional American conservatism, like Ted Cruz. Libertarianism, like Rand Paul or Neo-Conservatism, like John Bolton.
From these 4 options I myself see only the traditional american conservatism and rand paul like libertarianism as viable options.

I submit most of the right isn't like you. They have no principles at all anymore beyond blind adoration of trump.

They don't expect trump to do what they want anymore, it's gone so far that now they determine their beliefs based on what he says.

I say this as someone who'd be delighted to have pre trump conservatism back.

You could come to Australia, don't let ceps fool you, it's actually full of left wingers, especially in the cities. It's only ceps that makes it look like MAGA international. :P

Ceps really is all backwards on this stuff. Full of aussies and kiwis who are hardcore trump, and one of the few who isn't is more American than Australian anyway. :P

It's all backwards here.

Trump isn't even a conservative. Pre-trump conservatism? You mean something like George W Bush? Hell no.
And I take that as an compliment, that I'm not like most of the right. I'm not. I just believe greatly in economic freedom, which means for example legalization of drugs.

I actually miss Bush. :(

You'd think that hating trump as much as I do that I'd have been one of those illegal war for oil Bush haters too. But I really wasn't. I wasn't his biggest fan sure, but I never hated him either.

My opinion is that nothing that Trump has done is as bad as the wars Obama and Bush started.
It's fun how media likes to portray bush and obama as some kind of virtuous presidents, but Trump is this degenerate shithead nobody should respect.
He hasn't started a single war and that's pretty fucking good thing in my eyes.

I don't remember the media being positive to bush at all in the later years. And by later years I mainly mean his second term.

I suppose Fox News was the most positive but this was before trump declared fox not right wing enough. :P

Point is I remember a lot of Bush hate at the time.

Also, not everything about if a presidents good or bad can be summed up with "were they involved in any conflicts?"

But then I'm not a believer in American isolationism.

Funny how you didn't mention Obama.

Obama got a free pass because he is a democrat... and he is black.

Australians (like Americans) tend to think their country is left-wing, but since 1996 they've had a right-wing federal government for 18 out of 24 years... This can't be explained by rural populations. Australia doesn't have electoral colleges.

I think people tend to define their country by who surrounds them socially.

Oh really? Sure seemed like it when Trump was suddenly a lot more subdued in his second debate than the first.

Almost like his behavior in the first didn't politically help him so he adjusted it...

Exceptions to the rule are not the rule... He toned himself down in the second debate, but he didn't at any point start acting like a lying game show host politician relative to Obama/Harris/Biden/Clinton.

It's retarded for any right winger to still ride on the Trump train... He has gone full retard and anyone backing him up has done so too.

So (according to you guys)... Trump supporters are retarded. They have no principles. Their beliefs are dictated by Trump.

Whereas Biden supporters?

Neither the democratic party or the republican party have nominated a decent candidate since Obama. Trump is better than Clinton/Biden.

Clinton supporters voted for her because of her gender.
Biden supporters voted for him because he's not Trump.

Biden is literally brain damaged.

Whereas calling half the country retarded zombies is really helping to mend the bridge?

Perhaps (even though you disagree with them) you guys could sling less schoolyard insults at Trump supporters considering the fact that there are quite a few here?

You can get your point across without being rude.

This election fraud thing he's trying to push through is retarded and if republicans want to play the long term game, they shouldn't back him up anymore.
He has done his job and he did it surprisingly well. Now he's pushing left wing policies, like government power grabbing and stimulus packages and is desperately trying to stay in power.
Many Trump supporters are smart, extremely smart. I didn't call them retarded. I said it's retarded to still ride on his train.
Yes, Biden is a brain damaged degenerate who puts lube on his ass, bents down and whatever group he's going to meet, he lets entire group fuck him right in the ass. He's full blown sellout. I don't like him, OK?
What I'm saying is that Trump did his job, he did it pretty well at economic part, which is the only part that concerns me. He also took away government control from many areas of people's life, which is great.
What he's doing now? Not so good.
The two party system is retarded anyways.

I forgive you. I agree the election fraud thing is insane and embarrassing and I'm certainly not riding that train. Like many things Trump does, the election fraud thing makes me cringe when I say I support him to any extent... I just cannot allow myself to endorse the modern democratic party. Trump (IMO) remains the lesser of two evils.

Oh but it does!
Australia's "electoral college" is its preferential voting system. Which allows for parties that nobody voted for to get into power via preference deals, then of course you party coalitions, allowing two parties that got a minority to combine and form a government.

Anyway, I don't agree. Evens most of Australia's right is more left than America's right.

So (according to you guys)... Trump supporters are retarded. They have no principles. Their beliefs are dictated by Trump.

I would argue it's more like they're cult members. Even smart people can become cult members. And it's not every trump supporter, just a lot of em.

They've gotten wrapped up in this cult of personality that they now confirm to trumps views rather than expecting him to represent theirs. That's what I was saying.

Of course not all of them, but since you mentioned it ... there does seem to be a frightening amount of his supporters who fall into the last characterization.

They may have had principles, but that was before they made trump their God and let him choose their principles.

And like a any half decent God, trump is able to retroactively change what his principles have always been at his whim.

The left is a cult.
The right is a cult.

I find it extraordinary that any Trump supporters are buying the election fraud thing. It's fascinating to watch. They truly are brainwashed. No offense @dalpat077, you know I love you.

But, people in the US appear to be blind on both sides of the equation. Left wing opinions largely appear to be dictated by fake news. There are numerous people on this forum that insist Trump is the devil but cannot explain what he has actually done to warrant this label. I witnessed the same thing happening with Bush Jr.

There are very few people in NZ, too, that exist in the middle of the Trump spectrum. People either appear to: blindly adore everything he does and believe what he says despite him constantly spitting out lies; or illogically insist that he is the devil (not the literal devil, you know what I mean).

I agree with you there, but Australian conservatives are still conservatives. It's not as if the right-wing of Australian politics is left-wing. The country is (in many ways) considerably right of many European countries. The world doesn't revolve around US standards.

High court rejects GOP bid to halt Biden’s Pennsylvania win

"WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected Republicans’ last-gasp bid to reverse Pennsylvania’s certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the electoral battleground.

The court without comment refused to call into question the certification process in Pennsylvania. Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf already has certified Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump and the state’s 20 electors are to meet on Dec. 14 to cast their votes for Biden.

In any case, Biden won 306 electoral votes, so even if Pennsylvania’s results had been in doubt, he still would have more than the 270 electoral votes needed to become president.
"

according to forbes magazine (that bastion of sjw liberalism!) the trump campaign, and associated allies, have now lost or withdrawn more than 50 election lawsuits and have won 1.

For what it's worth:

This seems to be something new (like as in only the last few days). I thought it was the site I was trying to link to (DEA). Evidently not. Only workaround was to use tinyurl. Try it for fun so we can see if that solves the problem.

Forbes again! They won't be happy till we're living in communist Russia! :D
Remind me again as to why Russia is being considered Communist? 🇷🇺

And with the way things appear to be going: won't be long now until more than a few of you will being perceiving Mother Russia as Paradise! 🌈

And guess what: the likes of me are welcome there! So ya'll will have to wait in line! Sorry! 🤣

All is not lost though i.e. your new lot will kiss and make up with China I'm sure. Apparently Beijing is quite nice in the Summer? ☀️ Just them damn masks though (and on some days you won't have to be asked to wear 'em either)! 😷
