On the other hand did anyone see that clip of this police chief or captain that straight up punched that Trump rioters in the face.
 
I just watched a few clips of the protest on youtube, they were actually pretty wild. I've never seen cops look so off guard as they did in the Capital building, usually cops seem thrilled at a chance to crack some skulls but some of those dudes looked completely disoriented lol

Definitely an embarrassing banana republic-y moment for this country

I remember voicing my concerns about Trump not leaving the White house and what his supporters might do a yr or so ago and our resident Trump supporter was incredulous and told me that's something you would have to worry about the Democrats doing but not the law abiding, constitution upholding, Trump supporters.... Never......I wish I could find the exchange because it played out almost exactly as I said...lol

"Republicans don't riot" is a comment I particularly remembered.

But then, we all know Republicans are liars and hypocrites soo..

Id like to emphasize that it's only Wizard who I've seen express anything other than sadness over the woman's death.

But, since silence can speak volumes in its own right, I'll come out and say it.

It is terrible that that woman died. It shouldn't and doesn't matter that she was a trump supporter participating in an insurrection, that still doesn't justify her being shot.

And it's horrible that anyone would be pleased by this violence.

This shit must have started the moment my head hit the pillow last night.

I've scrolled through all the threads and posts here and some Quora stuff so still got some catching up to do.

But let me nail my colors to the wall here and say that I find this equally as abhorrent, if not worse, than the BLM and ANTIFA shit. Never in my life did I ever expect to see some of the images that I've seen this morning (and I've not even been on YouTube or scanned the news channels as yet).

Point is: I'm not happy about this either. Going at each other in the streets is one thing. But an assault on the Capitol building and all it stands for is something else entirely.

It should never have come to this.

Sad day. And I'm sorry. To the point of being emotional about it (and I fucking hate when that happens).

It’s one of the most secure buildings in the world with hundreds of highly trained secret agents.

If they were actually in danger, hundreds would have died.

Think for a second? Do you really think they could not stop this? Of course they could.

If that was North Korean troops they would have been blown the fuck up.

If that moron was at a black lives matter protest he was probably counter protesting

Sure wasn't a pleasant thing to wake up to. And no matter who was responsible or engaged in it.

Fortunately not too much damage done and doesn't appear to have gone on that long either (relatively speaking). But it's the principle more than anything else.

I'll probably get shot at dawn for saying this (figuratively speaking): but I don't think President Trump meant for this to happen neither do I believe the bullshit being, as per usual, spun by the media. I watched his speech made just before this all started. And anybody that understood what he said to be incitement to violence and an attack on the Capitol building is as dumb a fuck as that piece of shit in the raccoon hat.

Also been watching the Pennsylvania objections. The Republicans win the argument hands down. The rest of them just don't, or refuse to, get it.

Anyway. Well done to all of them for pushing on though. Dunno how long they're going to be able to keep this up for without taking a break though.

@OpiateKiller. We're on the same side dude (as I'm sure is obvious). I just don't know what to believe anymore to be honest. Something is fucked though. That's for sure. And as I keep saying: it's not limited to what's going on in America. But for sure somebody somewhere is stoking the fires. And this (potentially) shiny new blue government is just going to open the floodgates to further subversion by whoever it may be.

And maybe you're right about all of this too. For some reason I'm conflicted and maybe that's why. I had no problem back in 1993 when Yeltsin opened fire with tanks on the Russian Parliament (ironically fully supported and praised by Bill Clinton and the Democrats at the time) (wonder if there's a pattern here) (just thinking out aloud is all) (although and as I also keep saying: this not the same Democrats of today). Suppose I'd feel differently if the Republicans stayed in power and the (new) Democrats decided to stage a sit in!

I dunno. This is all just such a mind fuck that I reckon it's time for me to once again take a bit of a step back and/or butt out of American politics. And back to RT and Al Jazeera and maybe a re-run of President Putin's news conference and Russian Navy Day of last year. Always has a calming effect! 😇 And then back to research and business! 😉
