The Dive's Covid Thread

Yeah I don't think the vaccines were as effective against omicron.

we really dont know how effective they were against any of the variants because their really was never enough to be able to tell

just because cases went down initially, doesn't mean it was the vaccines working - that was just part of the script

but now looking at it, we see how useless they are now and they look to be having a negative impact to cases

im still holding out waiting for them to drop the mandates but somehow we're still in a state of emergency here

:bs:

All I know is that I got double vaxxed, boosted, wore my mask, kept Clorox wipes in my car, hand sanitizer at work and home, followed basic hand washing and distancing protocols and I've so far *knock on wood* never gotten it.

And I know others who have done the exact same thing.

I'm double vaxxed, boosted, did the opposite of socially distance, never used hand sanitizer (useless), and only wore masks when it was mandatory.

Never got it. I've got regular flu now though.
Doesn't say shit.... It's also been proven by now that the vaccines don't do anything for omicron and hardly protect from omicron infection.

"Despite strong levels of vaccination among older people, Covid killed them at vastly higher rates during this winter’s Omicron wave than it did last year"

dbJNn-cx

this might have something a lot to do with omicron's increased transmissibility and an overall increase in the number of cases

twice as many people had omicron compared to delta....

also what is the opposite of social distancing? Sexual assault ?
Hahah, fair enough =D
With alpha I was inside, after that most imposed social distancing was incredibly egregious, especially in Europe. Wasn't rubbing noses but if I wanted to see a friend, I went ahead and saw that person. Ridiculous stuff.
may I ask why you think hand sanitizer is useless?
I didn't do it and I never got COVID!

I also see people taking a shit in Walmart bathroom stalls covered in cum stains

they didn't get covid

doesn't mean you shouldn't wash your hands
I do wash my hands. :)
There's just no way I'm rubbing alcohol gel on my hands 10 times a day, for what is already a very rare occurence and for a virus that travels in the air....

I was just mostly lazy though, that's the honest explanation

Im with @Buzz Lightbeer

hand sanitizer - i don't rub that bullshit on my hands either - it doesn't work

soap and water - that's it - just like always

Now we all know i didn't get any shots, i only wore a mask if i had to, stopped wearing it at the grocery about 6 months before the mask mandate ended here, i have a kid that goes to public school who's in a class of 20+ kids, so i should be fucked automatically because of that alone - she brings everything else home...

i didn't use any wipes for anything beyond wiping my ass (they're bullshit just like sanitizer)

i NEVER wipe the grocery carts down - and im around people who work at hospitals

i would say the most ive done, is socially distance - i didn't go to a few parties early on in the plandemic - and the only reason why, is because i couldn't afford to be sick

but ive been guaranteed by the ppl from the CDC, that im gonna catch it no matter what because im unvaxxed

I used to buy truckloads of decommissioned printers from the govt/military, and sometimes there would be pallets of keyboards and mice, and I just threw away the ones used by people who use hand sanitizer, it was disgusting how it was in every crack and crevice

but the worst part is that people are using hand sanitizer in lieu of washing their fuckin hands

they were doing that with my kid at school - i told her "no, dont use that stuff, go wash your hands, and tell the teacher that i told you to do that and if they have a problem, call me"

Yeah, those are the people always getting sick every cold/flu season too, because they constantly kill all the bacteria on their hands and weaken their immune systems

Theres a difference between don't use these things as a replacement for hand washing (which I agree with) and "they don't work they're bullshit".

They're useful for times when you can't wash your hands. Like I said, in your car and at work, etc. I'm sorry but if touching a bunch of random ass doorknobs and handles in busy places , atms, keyboards, gas pumps... that shit is nasty. Especially if you have to go in a doctors office or Heaven forbid a hospital. I'm going to wash my hands if I can, and I'm gonna sanitize if I can't. Wipes are good to have for random messes anyway. If I've touched a bunch of things, I might wipe off my steering wheel and inside door.

This is not Covid paranoia, it's called being sanitary, a germaphobe, hypochondriac...whatever you want to call me.

I don't get colds very often and when I do they're mild. I have seasonal allergies despite using nasal spray. I've had the flu like once in my life. I used to get stomach viruses when I was younger but haven't recently. You'd think a person like me would be getting sick more often, all the bacteria I'm killing?

Sorry but this is BS.

Whatever Long or Covid fullstop, really is, how it manifests etc.

I have had no jabs, but due to compromised immunity and damaged NS, I too have had my life effectively trashed by not one, but at least 4-6 highly debilitating and Nerve Damaging Long Covids.

Covid is real.

Jabs, not good though IMO no matter what.

But Covid denying, is both ridiculous and unintelligent.

I'm on no side of a fence here either.

I support you on that Mal fully.

It's rational, not OCD.

By living like a revolving door for every pathogen on the street, I adopted this logical awareness of humanity's shocking unnapreciation for basic hygiene.

I always take unscented soap out with me, bottle water too, but for shop door handles etc, I use a dog poop bag, turn inside out like a glove, then back, never touching that side.

I used to think best idea is to just pour boiling water everywhere, a quick short flush.

I can't believe much can survive boiling water, excelt Nanotech.

It would clear a lot of "vermin" though lol.

Some people, just are barely susceptible to contracting things.

But will still transport surface microbes all over.

I never use antibacterial soap, handwash, anything though.

Just plain unperfumed soap and hot water.

But this....L C no existe, just jab side effects....it's plainly incorrect.

Decades ago, I wanted to see taps every street, old fashioned soap, in town centres etc.

And an "elementary" hygiene class in schools too.

It only makes sense.

For start, it's a fact, pre-Cov, mills, bills elderly, asthmatics have died because relatives unhygienically delivered the assailants.

I hoped through Covid, people might smart up here.

But now it's not plastered over every news channel, and the jabs worked, back to normal... I was hoping in dire vain.
