Social The Delphic Oracle - Know Thyself: P&S Social Ampitheatre of Doom

this is just great i think...

i went and ill just say 'resonated' with some "buddhists"-who do not pray to the Buddha(?!?this was a nice foreshadowing as-well) a month a go or something,,,

on the way home it was suggested to me that i ''pray'' for $$$.
this was my confirmation to get lost -

i didnt pray or hope for money, i soon got it and more then expecting -
WTF could someone else, who did decide to pray for money, and then received multipleX times the amount prayed for to of thought..?

the realization and experience as a whole personally, is/was damn scary in ways...
i also learned from other happenings that evening as well; to not allow my intuition to be blinded by coincidence: what i now see as a common host of poisons & delusion -mostly.

So you're in the anti synchronicity camp then PiP ?

I never pray for money (or anything for that matter) thus the lawd or whichever deity controls cash sees to it I never get an excess.

panic in paradisehmm;-D
i could shoot you, or stab you, or hang you maybe drown you...*

I say boil him that way there's less waste.

Your post in the forum with the huge name threw my mind back a few years, there was a point when you (panic in paradise) ,Mr Candyslut, Rumpled & I (zophool :D) wold post often, it made me smile and do a mental tour of the timezones everyone was in, nice thank you <3

^^I know what you mean PiP.

Does anyone notice in meditation that by picturing a place that you have never been you are able to go deeper within yourself thank when you picture a place familiar to you?
Might seem strange but this is how my brain works.

Glad to see we have a social here to bounce ideas off and around each other/

what do you see as the difference between praying and meditating?
or do you not see a difference personally, and feel the difference is a cultural or social one?

im just recently coming to see that i myself, last year this time, would never say that i pray, but did meditate...the difference to me at that time, and one i couldnt of identified either would of been that i associated "praying" strictly with asking, and "meditating" with deep thought.

Praying, IME, involves invocation of some other entity. Meditation needs no such invocation. Which, really, is just what you've said in as many words :)

:)

its true! and "invocation" is a good choice of words IMO, as it does bring many thoughts to mind. invocation it seems nowadays, is more associated with negative or dark contexts - hehe - and could be a controversial way to put it, id assume, if speaking to many 'main-stream religion' followers, even though the word is used often in the Bible, as it does many bastardized words, which is usually done by the typical folks who adhere to its principals...so, ill be looking forward to using that sometime!

Yo PiP <3

I thought this style might go down well in here :D

Anyway I need help - my PC keeps highlighting words in blue - then I click that word & pictures of semi naked women appear - it won't go away & for some reason I keep clicking - memory problem maybe.

Who invented Malware Malacalypse the Elder or Younger ?

what do you all think about an 'attunement-time'?

i dont really pray for anything in-particular, i do use a mantra for very specific health reasons, but that even is a narrowed down general cleansing of sorts.

what i have in mind is an hour or two that would be open, twice a day - the entire time isnt necessary, just a moments thought is enough to connect, in a thoughtful considerate way. any spiritual or religious belief, all we need is the extra charge and presence of faith, your own faith - i would either be using a Mala or Rosary, maybe flipping through a Bible, meditating on the mysteries of Isis/Ishtar, Ngame, or Maya, reciting Om Shaneecharaaya Namaha for Saturn, or Om Chandraaya Namaha for the Moon or Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha to Ganesha, as a general obstacle breaker, or creative inspiration, this also incorporates the East, Venus, Orange, Green, and Grey - YAM or the 4th, 'Heart Chakra', love empathy and soulful connectivity.

Yoga has begun to take a daily role in my life, finally i tried and it is needed for myself, this is something i might expect myself to be doing, or general charkra work, making incense or art that is inspired - maybe you are about to take voyage with a psychedelic in a spiritually exploitative/motivated manner, alone or with a group;-)and wish to share and receive, attempt to cleanse and focus before hand.

i would assume twice during a 24 hour period for 2 hours each time, using GMT and agreeing on a time considering the 'planetary hours', and, what is more reasonable for us all in our daily lives schedule ... of course thats only my thought.

???

i imagine this might not get any responses...or, maybe it will work out - i didnt want to create a thread just yet because of this
;-)
please do respond -
this could be amazing.

^Sounds nice to me. We get to decide our own path it seems :) I like doing yoga on amphetamines (ha!), go figure. Whatever works.

What do you think about the Upanishads, ive been trying to understand them, and i think ive been gaining some ground, but it sounds so modern, even though written how many centuries before Socrates..perhaps meditation or likewise techniques could help comprehension

I like the Upanishads. I've never gotten through them all, and won't pretend to have a thorough understanding :) But there seems to be a lot of wisdom in there.
