Ive recently pulled out my old Mega Drive and gave it a good kicking and it started working much to my surprise! Aaah, MD, back in the days when cartidges were the shit, and Fifa International Soccer didnt have the license for real player's names, so they would change them slightly...
These are the games i just found -
* Joe Montana Football (greatest NFL game ever, very stoner friendly.
* NHL '96 (with fighting and huge cross checks)
* NBA Live 95 (still the best)
Lets dig up a little nostalgia here regarding old school gaming systems!!!

Pulls Atari out from closet and finds -
Pitfall
Pong
Space Invaders (Yes this would have to be the best ever game)
AND wait for it...
The oroginal Castle Vania.
------------------
Dancing, the eternal quest to mash my ankles into dust.

Atari 2600... with the joystick that gave you wrist pains trying to move...

Some all time classic games:
River Raid
Hero
Callifornia Games
Centipede/Millipede
Kung Fu Master
Dig Dug
I'm sure I'm forgetting some...

i've got one of the really old things that you hook up to the TV and can play 1 or 2 player pig pong.... thats it!!

now i'm going to have to dig it out of the cupboard....

Wasn't that H.E.R.O.?
Classic!!
Does anyone remember these Commodore 64 games:
* Green Beret (maddest ol skool comp music)
* World Games (cliff diving rules!)
* Summer and Winter Games???
Aah the memories!
I fully encourage anyone with an old system in the cupboard to dig it out, it makes you appreciate the genreation that we are.

Did those games come on 5 1/4 inch floppy, or were they on tapes that took forever to load?
smile.gif
Anyone ever try and put the old Commodore 64 tapes into a regular tape player? Makes the most god-awful noise!!!

Another all time classic worthy of a mention:
Frogger!

Jeez, my Commodore 64. I gave that a run for a long time... Must have been my hardcore gaming machine 'til about 1996...
smile.gif

And yeah, Green Beret had pumping musik...
But my favourite all time C64 games are:
  • Commando (I could never get past the second level for about 6 years, but when I did, I was so stoked...)
  • Outrun (that Magical Wave music was the best music of any game..
    biggrin.gif
    )
  • IK+ (OMG, what a karate game.)
Any additions to that?

Cameras ready, prepare to flash...

Mine used the floppy disks where as the 128b used the cassette tapes. What a riot!
I remember that Karate game too man, it rocked hard. Can anyone remember the text you had to type in to run a game?

What about "Blood Money" on the C64 - one of the best helicopter games and so simple ...
Or "Populous" on the Amiga....

ahhhh... the memories of video games...
my dad planted me behind an 8086 when i was about 5, since then i've been wasting copious amounts of time playing games...
my favourite memories are of the commander keen series, rockford, crystal caves, the original duke nukem and so on...
anyone else out there a pc gamer? i've never really been into consoles...
------------------
... "wisest is he who knows that he does not know" ... "someone prove i exist" ... asparagus? ...

yeeah, Duke Nukem. California Games. Those Larry games! King's Quest. All those geeky comp ones.
My all-time console favourite, however, is Super Mario Bros. II... I'd always use the princess. What a fucking great game. We'd stay up 'til, like, 3am (oooh, sooo late!
biggrin.gif
) to 'clock' it. I've only got 64 now (never use it)--does anyone know if you can get Mario Bros. II on 64?
Tetris kept me entertained for hours. I've still got the original NES but it doesn't work anymore. Remember a Boy and his Bubble? Or balloon? Or ghost? I can't remember, but you fed it jellybeans and it'd turn into stuff, like a ladder or whatever...has anyone ever clocked that? We could never get past like, level 2. Bleh.
NES rocks my world.

*raises hand* PC Gamer here.
Bring on Budokan:the art of fighting, the keen series (got shit after 3), the original Kings/police/hero's quest series. Not to forget larry in all his glory. Crystal caves was awesome but not as good as secret agent. OMG, the memories, they are coming back.
I'm gonna have to go dust off the ol' AMSTRAD PC1640 (with a massive 4.2MHz processor) and give it a go all over!!!
