@Zopiclone bandit
I hear what you're saying.
I just think it's a stretch to say this is criminal.
In Victoria, currently, the government is discussing backtracking on their (some might say insane) rules.
I don't know what it's like in the rest of the world - our mundane domestic virus restrictions are boring enough - but it's fucking crazy here and (honestly) I hate it.
@chinup said she's happy to wear masks forever or something like that.
I intended to respond, but I don't think I ever did. I have holes in my memory because I consume a ridiculous amount of alcohol and weed. I hate these blank spots. I can't trust myself. It's like that film that guy made before he became a pretentious douche bag: Memento. (I was trying to remember the title while typing that sentence because I'm getting increasingly drunk now.)
I woke up the other day with a massive blister on my foot. As soon as I stepped out of bed, it was like a bolt of lightning. My big toes on both feet have "fused" apparently. Neither of them can bend anymore.
I worked for 10 hours today on that foot, then I came home and deleted a bunch of posts. I felt dirty doing it, because I criticized
@cduggles and others for doing the same thing.
I don't wear masks about 50% of the time when it is required by law for me to wear them.
I work in healthcare. We are technically required (while inside a residence) to wear apron / mask / face shield / gloves / goggles.
Nobody wears that shit.
Nobody.
The rules are fucking insane.
There are "green zones" where you don't have to wear anything. If I'm in the office, I can interact with other staff members with no mask on... but, when I'm in a residence I'm supposed to wear a fucking hazmat suit.
What is truly crazy is this: when you take the clients out into the community, there are no PPE requirements.
This is all half-assed - yes - but the world is tired.
The vaccines are imperfect. What else do you expect, honestly?
We're doing the best we can.
@chinup
I've been wearing masks for almost two years now.
I don't want to wear them anymore.
Enough is enough.
